Butterscotch, caramel upfront. Light to medium body, deep amber color. Light pepper, some agave peeking through and finishes with vanilla and oak. Pleasant heat, some nice mouth feels. Overall a very pleasant, pretty simple Extra Añejo. Worth its weight in value and an enjoyable pour.

NOM 1603 | My goodness what an explosion of flavors. On the swallow the flavors from the bourbon barrels are immediate. The agave sits on your tongue and it goes down so smooth. Every sip is such a unique flavor experience. Very good stuff

NOM 1603 | Aroma is very nice- caramel vanilla barrel spice and oakiness with hints of agave. On the palate it’s delicious- agave with whiskey oak barrel notes, with spicy earthiness silk coating my mouth. The finish is nice- agave, oak whiskey barrel notes linger with more barrel earthiness like leaves leaving a velvety coating.

Sweet butterscotch aroma. Pepper and agave flavors with a sweet vanilla finish.

The end is not that funny, but has to much oak flavor first. But after minutes, makes it tempting to have another shot.

NOM 1603 | The worst travesty of all time! I am appalled. This pains me because I have the Anejo in my regular rotation because it is a solid tequila at a great price. Usually around 39$. This bottle was 95$ and the only extra to this was the price! Save the money and buy the regular anejo, I’m still wondering how we jumped 50$ up and the quality went into the abyss. The only reason I tried this was purely by accident because I grabbed the wrong bottle of the shelf.

This is my "go to" tequila. I would gladly pay double the price. Great nose and a great flavor. Robust and a little harsh, the way tequila should be.
