Terralta Tequila Extra Añejo
“Really an explosion of flavors. Then the flavor dissipates and sits on your tongue for an extended period of time. Every sip has me questioning what flavors I’m experiencing. There’s definitely a flavor in the beginning I cannot put my finger on… my tequila vocabulary doesn’t seem developed enough to put a finger on it but then it moves to butter scotch and vanilla. Great tequila for the price ”

El Mayor Extra Añejo
“My goodness what an explosion of flavors. On the swallow the flavors from the bourbon barrels are immediate. The agave sits on your tongue and it goes down so smooth. Every sip is such a unique flavor experience. Very good stuff”

“There’s a lot of fruity notes but I find this rough around the edges. Not something that I truly enjoy sipping. Don Pippocho has spoiled me ”

“Almost tastes like it’s watered down. There’s an alcohol burn at the end and a tingling on the tongue but not very flavorful. Highly disappointed with this tequila, especially for the price. ”

Tierra Noble Exquisito Extra Añejo
“Incredibly smooth. Caramel flavors. Leaves a tingling on the tongue. Very interesting flavor profile. The agave is smooth with lots of notes I can’t quite put my finger on but incredible. Smells like butter scotch and a hint on butter scotch. It makes you want to keep sipping it to experience all of the flavors ”

Clase Azul Reposado
“This is interesting. It’s definitely not as smooth as an Anejo. It does not warm you up as it goes down. The flavor lingers at the top front of your mouth. There’s a bite on the first swallow, then hints of vanilla and a rougher tequila flavor. It’s not a bad repasado, but cannot compare to the anejos I normally drink ”

Casamigos Tequila Añejo
“The flavor is interesting. It tastes like it is watered down and then there’s a bite at the end. The flavor profile of the tequila is meh. No good notes. It leaves a tingle on your tongue afterwards which seems strange.”

Don Julio Añejo
“It’s got a bite when you first sip it. Goes down smooth and warm. It’s a good entry level into Anejo tequila or if that’s all that’s available at a bar, but there are definitely better options ”

Lote Maestro Extra Añejo
“Look, this tequila tastes like rum and it’s good. However you can tell this is not a pure tequila. There are additives. The purist in me says this tequila should be a 60 or 65 out of 100. The casual drinker in me that just wants a smooth tequila to sip on with friends says this is an 85 or 90. ”
