It’s got a warm and inviting nose. I taste oak, caramel, cognac, raisin, chocolate, earth, and some barrel spice. It’s got a dry finish. This is a cognac-style tequila, with no notes of agave. The barrel did it’s work here, and if you are into that then this will be very enjoyable.

Too much barrel for me. Good aroma and terrible everything else. Not overly sweet but not much agave going on.

More cognac like than tequila. Earthy and sweet. Smooth finish But the price makes it hard to recommend. I understand every producer has high mark bottles, this one is no different. Limited availability

Cognac all day, all the caramel and spice makes me want to light a cigar and curl up by a fire....really nice for an extra Añejo!

Nose: Bold nose. Pleasantly pungent ripe red fruit, cinnamon, vanilla, dried cherries and oak. Some earthy notes. Flavors: Barrel spice, a hint of smoke, cognac influences, and viscous, round vanilla and caramel. Some dark dried fruits and moderate pepper in harmony.

This is the first drink I have in my life that I can say you don't fell the alcohol is very soft and still tons of agave flavor to it.

It’s been a while since I dusted off a bottle, therefore I’m either incredibly generous, or maybe it’s just that good. Aroma is fantastic with vanilla and oak. Maybe caramel? Flavour is same as aroma. It’s balanced exceptionally well. I would hope it’s as good as it is, as the price point isn’t overly kind to your wallet. I didn’t mind the price myself as it was my first time in “Milenio” territory. As I’ve now added to my tequila bucket list, next time I’ll split the cost and find two other good selections.

On the front end of the aroma is oak and caramel. It almost smells like a bourbon. The taste is too overpowering with the oak. It doesn't really taste natural and it has an odd aftertaste. Somewhat bitter.

Shorter trapezoid shaped bottle, started aging on September 2007 & bottled on January 2009, barrel #288, lot: 001 09 030, in a wooden box. Tasted on 7-17-24. Color: dark yellow to light brown. Aroma: hint of cooked agave, brown sugar, hint of cinnamon, hint of orange, light acidity, light vanilla, hint of wood note, burnt caramel. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and acidic balance, orange, hint of orange blossom. Finish is medium to medium long, light cooked agave with burnt caramel & orange with a hint of earthiness persists.

Delicious on the nose, very subtle, very easy sipping tequila. I’m fond of 1800 and this is smooth as silk.

Lovely Cognac and barrel notes in the nose. Roasted agave, chocolate covered raisins, sweet oak flavors. Lingering semi sweet finish. This is a banging pour, and one that is right in my wheelhouse. I would have rated it two or three points higher, but I feel that it’s about $50 overpriced.

Very good. Cognac barrel way differrnt than the bourbon barrel taste - this is special for sure. Price hurts it a little

Big spicy nose, reminiscent of American Rye. Lighter and brighter on the palette than I expected. But tones of chocolate, dried fruit. Nice long finish. Not necessarily my cup of tea but this was quite a nice treat.

Has a soft slightly sweet aroma. Smells like oak. The flavor is delicious but you can’t taste any tequila until the finish. It is probably the smoothest finish for a tequila I’ve ever had. You can finally taste the tequila in the fantastic after taste. It’s definitely pricey at $137 usd and can only be bought in Mexico like I had to do. But it’s still a great extra añejo.

Very good. A nice cognac like dessert tequila with notes of cooked agave, almonds, jasmine, rancio, walnuts, caramel, raisins, cinnamon, pears, white chocolate, and coconuts.
