In my first inhale, I thought it had a “nice” aroma. Upon my second and subsequent inhales, I get a very strong, lemony aroma, like a soap, but absolutely no agave. Taste and short finish are of strong alcohol. I see others like it better than I did.
The barreling helped to mask the flavor of the blanco.
From memory: Spicy alcohol with a bit of orange peel and sweetness.
Mostly bitter with minimum level of additional flavors
OK budget brand. Good for cocktails. Tasted at Tanger Whiskey Fest
Mexican release. 38% and $215 pesos. Nose: Thyme, minerals, ripe pitted fruit and a hint of banana. Flavor: Vanilla, caramel, cinnamon red hots and black pepper and jalapeño. Rich mouth feel, and a hint of bourbon.
Some bitter notes from the oak on the finish.
Muted wood aromas, soap stone, black pepper
An average sipper with some rough edges, busy oak notes and a confusing finish that leaves traces of roasted walnuts and caramel
A representative at the liquor store was doing a tasting. It didn’t start off right because the pour was freezing. The representative said that they keep Their bottles in the freezer before tasting. Aroma: (19) very light aroma because of temperature. Hint of oak & vanilla. Taste: (23) vanilla & syrup Finish: (19) what finish? Quick left little vanilla taste. Overall : (69) I know this shouldn’t represent Lunazul but the pour was ice cold and ruining everything. Value (8) best thing I could say is the price. $47 for 1.75L
Had this at the Boathouse in Rhode Island. Solid Tequila. Worth getting a bottle at home.
A bit soapy on the nose. Light straw color in the glass. Medium mouthfeel. Somewhat bitter on the palate with pepper and astringent qualities. Finish is short and dry. Not a great sipper…
Not much if any agave notes except at the very end, almost only in the after taste.
Lunazule
Right from the start you get a strong vanilla aroma from opening the bottle. The after taste has a syrup like finish which I was not a fan of.
Citrus aroma, slightly sweet taste. Some pepper on the finish.
Notes of Carmel, vanilla, and agave. Slightly bitter, which I like.
OK with a lime. Had 2-3 shots in a drink. Both times woke with a headache. Going to look for more non additive Tequillas.
I bought this for mixing a reposado!
Slightly sweet, very smooth. Not much of an alcohol burn.
Mexican 38% abv. version, lote: LLAR0321914, bottled on 10-08-2018, tasted on 12-28-23. Color: yellow. Aroma: hint of cooked agave, hint of vanilla, creamy, slightly acidic, light earthiness. Palate: hint of green vegetal note, mineral, raw agave, quite different from the nose. Finish is short to medium, hint of raw agave, green vegetal notes persist but quite short. Hint of black pepper.
The nose isn’t harsh but it’s unpleasant. It’s a drinkable tequila, in the sense that I’ll drink it so as not to waste it. I won’t find myself buying this for myself (‘twas a gift).
Strong alcohol flavor I was hoping for something better but it is not terrible
Vanilla, alcohol

Very light amber in the glass. Aroma of cooked agave, anise, astringent and vanilla. Flavor of black pepper, anise, vanilla and a hint of agave. Not much finish.
