NOM 1137 Nose: Cooked agave comes forward first, touched by mint and honey. Anise adds a sharper edge, while fresh cut grass gives it a green, outdoorsy quality. Palate & Mouthfeel: The texture is thin, almost watery, and the flavors from the nose carry through with little development. Cooked agave and anise are most present, joined by a light minerality and a trace of ethanol that pokes through more than it should. Finish: Quick and fleeting, leaning on ethanol and anise with a mineral note reminiscent of well water. Final Thoughts: This tequila is straightforward and inoffensive, though it lacks depth. Nothing off putting, but not much to hold attention either. It’s fine, just not particularly memorable.
