NOM 1424 | Bottle: L070722-08, 29-08-2022 Appearance: Clear Nose: Cooked agave, honey, tropical fruit, guava, coconut, citrus, tangerine, metallic, vanilla, and mint…unexpectedly fruity and sweet Palate: Alcohol, black and white pepper, cooked agave, vegetal, honey, metallic, and vanilla…quite a bit more heat with less complexity here Finish: Alcohol, vegetal, celery, metallic, and honey…a bit hot, with a medium viscosity and long duration Overall: I picked this up on sale for ~$14 from a local ABC, so I didn’t initially have the highest of hopes. While the nose was surprisingly decent, the palate was definitely more consistent with the price I paid. This is definitely passable as a sipper in a pinch, but would be more likely to shine as a base for cocktails.
