It's sweet with caramel and vanilla but also a bitter after taste. Super syrupy
Pretty bottle with a flavor profile to match, a little too sweet for my palate. Mouth feel and finish had an artificial sweetness
Instant artificial sweetener bomb on the nose and palate. Tasted it during a promo from the brand owner twice at 2 different spirits locations and twice I had to be honest with her. Needless to say, she wasn't happy to hear my honesty and insisted it had no additives. Another cute bottle with P I S S inside. Proof is in the pudding. BTW I noticed the brand owner and her friends gave it a score of 99! Obvious when it the only bottle they scored! Bwahahaha...
Get ready for a sugar rush. This almost surpasses Cava De Oro.. just noo
sweet Carmel finish, good sipper.
NOM 1567 | Just met a member of the family who makes this at a tasting and she swears up and down its additive-free. There’s no way. It’s pure pancake syrup. One of the worst “tequilas” I’ve ever tried.
NOM 1567 | Smell strong, fruity, earthy notes, strong alcohol Thick rich mouthfeel, extremely smooth Notes of agave, apples, honey oak
Quite sweet, makes one wonder about all the additives, but I’m not going to lie, for someone who likes a smooth ride I could sip this all nite..
Addictive laden, sugar bomb… This is not what tequila is supposed to taste like and there’s no way that this is only influenced by barrels… hard pass on this one!
Everything from the nose, taste, and finish was just sickeningly sweet.
For the money and the age of this tequila, it ranks as one of the worst I have had. It is akin to drinking a glass of liquid brown sugar. What additives are in this one?
Love this! Rich, thick, unctuous tequila. Full bodied. Sweet honey, caramel, toffee and vanilla notes wrapped around cooked agave. Layers of toasty oak spices . This is a crowd pleaser for those that like a sweeter style. Too bad it costs $250 per bottle.
Tried this at a tequila event. Normally I steer clear of fancy bottles but I'll give it a try. The brand owner told me the sweetness comes from being aged in coñac barrels. There is definitely more contributing to the flavor than oak and coñac. Not my cup of tea.
Negative artificial sweetness, thick glycerin mouthfeel and finish of sweet cough syrup. Not good, not for the traditional Connoisseur.
Excelente Reserva 5 years aged in French Oak Barrels, 100% blue agave, twice distilled and twice filtered. exquisite flavor and aroma with a pleasant after taste. super smooth and of course recommend.
My score for this Extra Añejo does not actually reflect my tru thoughts on this one. I really do enjoy sipping on it, I just don't feel that it is a very good value. the flavor fades too quickly for me as well.
A little astringent, oaky, musty, dates, dried fruit oaky, sweet citrus, orange
Light on the aroma toward cooked agave flavors, definitely charred sweet nose almost caramelized. Smooth flavor that goes smooth on the palate.
Exelente taste, 5 years aged in french oak barrels. Super smooth agave taste and notes of halzenut & vanilla. Long and delightful finish. It worth the value
