Nose: The agave shows up first, steady and clear, before the oak folds in with a warm, grounded edge. There’s a soft, earthy undercurrent that gives it some weight, and the stone fruit character feels ripe without drifting into candy. A touch of cinnamon adds lift, while a vineous note brings a rounded, almost wine kissed depth that ties the profile together. Palate & Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is full, carrying the agave through a wave of oak and pronounced bourbon barrel spice. The caramel runs warm, giving the spice something to hold onto. Stone fruit comes back in a big way - lush, present, and pushing up against the edges of the oak. Everything lands with intention, the barrel clearly in the driver’s seat. Finish: The barrel spice stays long and unmistakable, hanging on with real persistence. The fruit and caramel fade early, leaving spice and oak to close things out. Final Thoughts: This leans into a fruit forward, barrel heavy style that doesn’t quite hit my personal lane, but the craftsmanship is clear. Well put together, just a touch too fruit driven for my taste.
