Wow. Thanks Hugo for this rare find! Aroma is good but a little muted. I guess I was expecting more. Taste is crazy good! So much agave…how is that possible with 5 years in the barrel!? Fun barrel notes with some spice. Finish is a little bitter and just ok.
Sweeter finish than the regular release. Prefer the regular over this special release. A little too sweet for my palate
With and with out fibers, I lean more to the regular G4 offering. I do prefer this over the repo release which is sweeter than the regular repo release.
The nose on this one is lighter than the regular 108, which I think most people would appreciate—it doesn’t punch you like a high proof, keeping its secret hidden until first sip. Similar flavors to the regular 108 with agave, minerals, pepper, but also a little bit sweeter. Yes it sips like a 108 proof with a nice zip and long finish, but it seems more balanced than the regular version—not as sharp. If you like 108 you’ve got to check out 108 XM! I’d give this one an extra couple points.

G4 Dia de los muertos 2025 Trying at home. Neck pour in a small jarrito. I let it sit about an hr to open. Not completely on purpose. I got distracted. Nose: is really good! barrel spice, caramel, citrus Palate: also very good. Got a hint of that agave bubblegum i get with OG El tesoro, with some barrel spice and wood Finish: is nice, The barrel spices carry thru with some wood and pepper - not oaky. I will revisit. In the meantime, I'm giving this 90 pts with a small drop for value
