An absolutely elegant XA. There is so much complexity from the different barrels. Slightly more barrel influence than agave but still a truly special tequila. Nose: cooked agave, oak, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, butterscotch, cherries, and butter. Palate: cooked agave, oak, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, black pepper, butterscotch, cherries, and butter. The finish is a nice long evolution of all the barrel flavors. This does not disappoint.
Forget Cristalinos and embrace some real agave innovation.

Tasted at Baja Betty’s SD agave club. The aroma is hard to detect out of the tiny plastic cup. But overall pretty good. As it opened I got some strong butterscotch! Definite barrel, roasted nuts and some light alcohol. The taste of sensational! It’s really dark if dark, we’re a flavor. Molasses, brown sugar, barrel spice without being too sweet. There is some good caramelized agave. The finish is my favorite. Tasty and smooth whilst giving us some good Tequila heat. I would like to try this in a better vessel Also loses a couple points for value.
