This is a treat. Nice amounts of cooked agave and cinnamon. Has a natural sweetness and a buttery vanilla finish. This may be my favorite product from this brand.
Batch 001 | Ensueno repo carribean rum batch 1 Sample from Robert Stern (Agave Swap) Nose: citrus, cooked agave, vanilla, oak. Taste: cooked agave sweetness and vanillin, oak tannins with notes is fruit and white pepper. Finish: white pepper, slight vanilla and oak. Lots of barrel influence. Medium finish? I feel like this would have been more to my liking as an Anejo.
Sweet, fruity, and spicy with a very creamy mouth. I prefer this to the wheated bourbon so far.
(Barrel 8) This one is more green on the aroma than my Batch 1. But I like the flavor better with some citrus and vanilla, and a nice spicy finish.

This is awesome stuff! A blanco rested in oak for around two weeks (still keeps it a blanco) but gives it a really unique complexity. Across the board on the nose and palate I get the traditional blanco notes of black pepper, lemon and other citrus but because of the slight time in a barrel there’s hints of cinnamon and baking spices. A really nice finish. This should attract blanco purists as well as reposado drinkers. Really well done!
