Just a taster, will have to revisit

This CROTALO 5yr. Extra Anejo fo my is what I look forward too when enjoying an XA. This has a wonderful aroma the shows off the time in the barrel with Agave Caramel Malted notes and Cinnamon and Cloves. The first taste is Agave an Oak with some vanilla and citrus. A bit of Orange citrus is looming for the French Oak. Has a mild tannin that stays on my palate the leads to a medium to long finish.. Perfect combo for a nice cigar experience!

A nice medium amber color. A unique nose. Pleasant aromas of apple cider, caramel, and charred Oak. Delicious Savory flavors - only a touch of sweetness. Charred wood, agave, browned butter, crusty bread. Almost no bitterness at all. Very pleasant and long finish. Top-shelf sipper.

Lote 001. Rich, yet not syrupy or overly sweet. Great barrel spice and fruitiness. These first release bottles are harder to find , so if you do find one, buy it and savor it.

Rich in color, complex in flavor and thick in body. Strong wood notes with a wonderful combination of baking spices, sweet agave and fruit. A smooth finish of fruit, agave and a bite of spice. Outstanding.

Loads of barrel in the aroma with a hint of chocolate. The flavor is full of rich, chocolate. Long, lingering finish is delicious.

Received as a sample from Agave Swappers so I am setting value at 5/10.

Caramel apple , vanilla , cinnamon, chocolate, tobacco , light tea and some leather on the nose. Taste: thick buttery mouth feel with hints of vanilla , caramel , buttercream , oak and delicious Mexican flan and spices. Definitely a night sipper for those who light complex and sweet flavors. This is surprisingly delicious. I got it on sale for $99+tax at Old Town Liquor. Great sipper. I approve!

Great beginning, middle and end. This has a lot going for it. The price is high for the bottle but worth getting for those special slow sipping times. I’m having an Olivia master blend cigar. These are also a hidden gem and a great compliment to the Crotalo

Heavy charred barrel influence and campfire on the nose. Lots of smoke reminiscent of rustic mezcal. A little bit of cooked agave presence can be detected but not much. Lacks balance for my personal taste.
