NOM 1456 | This repo is slightly different than pictured. It has a 2007 (tax stamp) and labeled Reserva Especial Limitada. Nose: Ripe jammy berries and over ripe cantaloupe. Sweet agave blending with subtle oak tones and cedar shavings. Background baking spices that were first evident, receding as it opens up. A pinch of vanilla. Flavor: Vanilla, fruitiness, hazelnuts, baking spice and a pepper note that has staying power. Some viscosity and a trace of bitterness. This picked up a point or two on value, as I only paid $176 pesos for this older bottle.

NOM 1456 | Overwhelming aroma of thinner killed this one for me.

NOM 1456 | Bottle has a 2000 Mexican tax sticker on it. Melon, and some sort of funky sour sulfur-ish aroma. Not in a good way. Flavor is ok, I don’t get the funky weirdness, but it’s flat and thin. Simple.

NOM 1610 | 1 LOTE 001 bottled on 24/07/24, tasted on 5-12-26. Color: light yellow. Aroma: hint of cooked agave and vanilla, hint of sourness, light acidity, wood note that feels new and fresh and is quite noticeable and gets more intense as time goes by, wood tannins, light mint, pepper spiciness. Hint of herbaceousness. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, cinnamon, wood note is quite intense on the palate, ends a tad bitter. Finish is medium to long mainly dominated by the fresh wood note.
