Aroma: Oak, Vanilla, Caramel, Agave, Herbal, Citrus (orange), Grassy Hay, Black Pepper and Cinnamon Taste: Agave, Oak, Vanilla, Caramel, Black Pepper/Cinnamon, Orange Peel, Grass
This is a light amber in the glass. The minerals from the tahona process come through in the aroma. I also get the cooked agave, herbal and oak. The flavor has cooked agave, black pepper, oak, minerals. There is a nice, medium finish. This is a pleasant sipper.
The nose on this one was nice. Fruit, vanilla and barrel influences. Subtle palate, not much going on but makes for a very easy sipper. Finish is muted but again an easy sipper.
Smells amazing, roasted agave with musty oak, makes me want to dive in. This is pretty aggressive with the alcohol hit, I was expecting some sweetness but this just immediately punches you in the dick. Loses some points for a rocky finish but a good tequila.
Like most other reviews stated. Very good but not great. However if you want to unknown what tequila tasted like 100s of years ago, this is a great option. Having the agave forward in this repo is great. Easy sipping for anyone to enjoy.
There is bit of cooked agave, light barrel aging. For the price I think I prefer a few other repos over this one. Had this side by side with their blanco. Prefer the blanco much more.
Nose: I started with a Glencairn Sherry Nosing Copita, quickly switching to my trusty Jarrito from Romeo Hristov. This repo does not have terribly vibrant aromas. It presents in more of a round and mellow style. There is chocolate, vanilla and white chocolate. As it opens a bit, I detect some earthiness or mineral notes, a vague whiff of agave, a pinch of spice and some dried fruit. Nothing standout here for me, although pleasant enough. Flavors: The initial sip delivers an unexpected pop of pepper, cinnamon, clove and allspice. Creamy in the mouth, holding the vanilla and chocolate nuances I got on the nosing. I’m trying to dig out some agave here, which I thought the tahona would showcase, but it’s elusive to me. I had waited a very long time to try this expression from San Matias, and was a tiny bit disappointed. It is well crafted and will fit the bill for many - maybe a dessert accompaniment. Just not my cup of tequila...
White chocolate, butterscotch and vanilla notes with a sweet vanilla finish. A nice, rich repo. I prefer a lighter touch on barrel flavors, with more agave for a repo, but I’m sure many will enjoy it.
This has a chocolate aroma and flavor. Agave, butter, and vanilla aroma also. Thick mouth feel and a pleasing finish. It lost 1 point on value, because it’s a bit expensive here in Mexico.
Good reposado. Leggy which represents the viscous properties of this fine reposado. It is buttery up front with a mineraly, honey finish. The aftertaste is that of sap and pine.
Nom #1103 Aroma, I got fresh cooked agave immediately with notes of vanilla , earth and minerality. slight hint of alcohol made an appearance. Palate, alcohol forward with roasted cooked agave and sweetness were noted. my palate transitioned to a more peppery dry mouthfeel , showing undertones of earth and grass with a light burn. Finish, was clean and warm with the pepper and earth, alcohol lingered on the palate showing signs of barrel oak. Overall, this Reposado is a pleasant sipper, if you like the traditional Agave forward tequila. then this is your brand. I sampled it neat
Nose is peppery. Color is lighter showing little bbl color impact. First sip is sweet and rich, mouthfeel very viscous. If this is the impact from tahona crushing, I’m a fan. Agave sweetness is very present. Subtle pepper flavor is out front. Though this is rich, the balance of agave sugar and pepper are wonderful. This is a great bottle for the price!
The aroma has cooked agave with rich, creamy butter and caramel leading the way, along with a light touch of vanilla. The flavors detected are a balance of that same buttery sweetness with caramel, complemented by zesty orange peel, some minerality, and a growing presence of black pepper that keeps it from leaning too sweet. The finish starts off light, then gradually builds into a more pronounced peppery kick that lingers.
Additive free Reposado. Nice nose. Agave forward with wood and honey. Had this at the GOAT in Carmel IN. Drinks more like a whiskey with a hint of smoke. I enjoyed it. I’d drink again. Not my favorite Reposado but worth an order to see if you like it.
Delicious! Always looked at this, but was a little up there in price...not bad, but I always chose something else even if I was exceeding that price point. I found it for $31 so I bought it. (I've purchase their XA for about $50 and love that.)I love how this was created grown in the highlands, cooked in a brick oven for 2 days, extracted with a tahona, fermented in wooden vat for 3 days before being distilled and aged in American white oak. Great on the nose...cooked agave, earthy, honey, wood notes, on the palate the agave is forward and notes of pepper, clove, very velvety mouth feel, lingering flavors. i enjoyed it, so I bought another. Great sipper!
Buttery, vanilla, mineralality
Easy on the nose, sweetish and mild vegetal. Anise citrus minty honey-caramel taste finish. I normally do not like anise, but this is very Enjoyable
Aroma is very nice. Wet agave- earth, caramel, vanilla, and oak. Flavor- wow- oaky- agave- with hints of caramel, vanilla, light pepper, with a silky finish.
slight pepper, butterscotch tasting notes, smooth
$52 American
Light floral & vanilla scent. Smooth af. Very very slight honey pepper flavor
Nice clean rainwater feel to the flavor. A classic profile, agave and oak in the aroma and flavor. The finish is a bit rough, but I wouldn’t pour it out.
$190 Anejo Restaurant Aroma Narrow range. Mix of caramel and Warm finish

Nice and easy to drink. Not overly complex buy nice and buttery with the agave present. Prefer this over the blanco.
