NOM 1424 | Aroma: I get some citrus with some fresh green notes and light eucalyptus. As it opens, I pick up some floral aromas a little jasmine, along with a clean, perfumed note that reminds me of fresh dryer sheets. Flavor: Cooked agave is present with light minerality. The profile is fairly straightforward, and a subtle sweetness begins to emerge Finish: Short-Medium. Pepper and anise appear first, followed by a lingering sweetness. I also found a medicinal, alcohol-forward, rubber-like note on the finish Overall: While this expression didn’t align with my palate, others who enjoy sweeter or more perfumed profiles may have a different experience. I’ve seen it at $35-$49
NOM 1424 | In the nose is really earthy and mineral with hints of agave Palate : is agave, earthy and minerality and spicy
NOM 1424 | Sharp, astringent nose. Almost sea breeze with salt. Like breaking a stalk of a plant in front of your nose on a beach. Very mellow flavor. Not super complex. Just cooked agave. Short, almost abrupt finished. Overall, not my favorite. Maybe as a base of a flavorful marg, but not a great sipper.
Smooth flavorful tequilla
Not harsh
Restaurant tasting…. Nose is cake-batter sweet. Thin mouthfeel. Generally sweet on the palate and one-dimensional without any complexity. Finish is quick and dry with some pepper and a light artificial-sweetener aftertaste. Not something I would sip. Definitely an easy gateway sipper for the non-tequila crowd.
Great all around agave, beautiful bottle, not too expensive
Beautiful sweet agave comes through some nice vegetal and pepper notes, even some dark chocolate notes magically making their way in - alcohol burn near non-existent - mouthfeel could be more substantial. Really outstanding blanco - at under $40 in NYC this is an absolute steal.
This was a new tequila our local store received and it was priced amazing at $35. Aroma is agave, pepper, alcohol, olive, wet grass, and maybe fruit. The taste is good. Agave, pepper, slight alcohol, minerals, grass vegetal mix, fruit-banana citrus, and white pepper. Finish is nice- it has a medium finish- majority leaves quickly with a lingering agave and green vegetal silkiness…it’s really nice.
nose: slight funk right away leading to great fresh agave notes. taste: cream and mint. nice viscosity.
Nose has pepper, alcohol and Agave. Taste has nice Agave with some citrus, pepper and alcohol. Finish has a little punch with some lasting heat. Nice sipper and will definitely buy it again. A good value.
Nose: agave, citrus, black pepper, mineral, vegetal, anise Taste: agave, citrus, black pepper, honey, melon, baking spice Finish: citrus, black pepper, honey, vegetal, mild lingering heat Summary: great mixer, sensible sipper, excellent value, preferred stock
Nose: a little muted, but scents of agave, mint and grass are present. Palate: pepper, raw agave, tobacco, mint, and mineral. Finish: light agave and alcohol linger for all of a few seconds.. ordered at a restaurant so not sure of the price.
One of the best blancos for under $40 very clean
Clean agave, slight peppery finish, very nice for the price a clean sipper or great for mixing if you do that
not muck of a nose with the exception of mild rubbing alcohol scent. Sweet and then progressively peppery/slow burn. clean with no after taste. this is my go to Blanco and at $37 a bottle you can't beat it. Also, cool bottles made from Mexi an Coke bottles.
Absolutely delicious silky smooth with a nice pepper finish
Did not care for the aroma of this tequila. As far as the taste it was somewhat bitter, aftertaste and strong alcohol presence.
Bit of butterscotch flavor. Sweet, excellent flavor
Smooth. On the sweeter side. Such good value
NOM 1424. Very sweet. Cool bottle though.
