Very nice nose of agave and floral notes. Fruits, citrus and herbal. Jalapeño. Mint Buttery palate, agave, floral, minty. Good finish.

Nose: agave, bright herbal notes, maybe thyme/oregano ish, smells like watered down brix honestly, some minerality there Pallet is agave, spices, some sweetness, a pure blanco from 1123, distinct grassy notes from them, good mouthfeel & finish, only knock is price as to me its worth about half of what it goes for. Delicious nonetheless but wouldn’t buy for 200

70-30 Blanco-Reposado blend. Tasted at MBTC 2024

Sampled at Monterey Tequila Fest. Blend of mostly blanco and a little Reposado.

Another hit from Chava and a great marriage of memento mori barrels for the repo.

This tasted like the Blanco with slight barrel notes. To me the agave was a little more muted, but a very drinkable Joven.

This is my favorite expression. It’s a blend of their Blanco and Repo and makes for a long lasting finish that grows in complexity. To me, it’s like the Blanco gets a hug from the Reposado at the end. Everyone I let try this is blown away by the profile of it.

This is a nice Joven tequila.

Color is almost clear. Supposed to be 70 blanco / 30 repo blend, and it’s beautifully blended. 1123 through and through. But I picked up the blanco for $55, the repo for $75, and this for $130 (and it usually is $150-$200). I cannot see where the huge price jump comes from, so it loses points for value. But other than that, it’s an exceptional joven.

This is an outstanding Joven when I experienced my first chance to drink this I was pleasantly surprised and quickly found my own bottle to enjoy. It’s simply complex if that makes sense.

My favorite from El Negocio. It is a Blanco heavy Joven with just enough Reposado to round out the edges of the flavor profile.

The Joven is very Blanco and Agave Forward but the Reposado rounds it out nicely and makes the 2024 Vintage Joven my favorite of what they currently offer.

LOTE 473, bottled on 071223, tasted on 5-4-24. Color: just a tad of yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, light aromatic green vegetal notes, light earthiness, light fruitiness, light resinous sweetness, light acidity, hint of citrus. When all aromas and flavors are light I also mean they are very well balanced. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and citrus balance. Finish is medium to long, light sweet cooked agave, light fruitiness, light aromatic green vegetal notes with earthy sensation persists.
