“Nose: Fresh agave and pepper up front, as it progresses citrus and an almost strawberry scent develops before fading. Palate: Agave forward. There is a hint of citrus that is carried upon the back of a black pepper note. A fleeting presence of the cabernet or berry. This is a really good tequila. A bit of a novelty with the cabernet barrels, but definitely something to try. ”

“Cooked agave is the predominant note and flavor. Incredible example of a tequila with cooked agave, agave, black pepper, and soil (earth). This blanco should be THE example of a blanco/silver tequila. A necessity in any collection.”

Camarena Silver Tequila

“Cooked agave and black pepper are almost the only notes present on the pallet. It lacks a finish. However, this tequila, at this price point, deserves some credit for its pure nature. A cut and dry representation of the spirit. This is an average tequila at a very commendable price. Some others may be more complex but if you are new to tequila, try this. Its a good introduction. ”
