Had this after the still strength and it makes for a tough comparison. The still strength is so agave forward that this tastes a little bland in comparison. Very solid Blanco though.

Decent blanco but nothing special on the nose. Light aroma of agave, citrus, some mint. On the palate, agave, pepper, citrus. It tastes of minerals and a touch of alcohol. Lightly vegetal and earthy.

Nose: agave/ earth / minerals / apple / cherry / lime/ lemongrass Taste: sweet agave / cinnamon/ vanilla / earth / banana/ apple/ lime / anise/ peppermint/ jasmine/ hint of cream soda Finish: watery wet mouthfeel with a lingering agave/anise sweetness and a mild cinnamon flavor / the sweet and cinnamon hold on for a bit leaving a nice minty finish This blanco is quite terrific for the price….it fights way above its weight class. Super sipper and budget friendly enough to have as a mixer. The sweetness is fabulous and though it’s the major flavor note, it doesn’t seem overwhelming to the other great flavors.

tried it at the distillery on the BAT 2023 herbal easy to sip, not very complex. much less alcohol and methanol than the mixto

Clean and crisp right from the pour, this blanco opens with soft aromas of cooked agave, lime, and a hint of mint. On the palate, it’s light yet flavorful—sweet agave leads the way, joined by subtle cinnamon, citrus, and a touch of minerality. There’s a faint earthiness underneath, keeping it balanced and grounded. The finish lingers with mild spice, a flash of anise, and that refreshing minty lift. For the price, this one punches above its weight—easy to sip neat, but versatile enough to mix without guilt.

The tiniest hint of grape medicine, but in a good non-overpowering way. Very clean finish.

Bottle: Lot PLX21-080322, 14/03/22 Appearance: Clear Nose: Cooked and raw agave, herbs, black pepper, anise, citrus, vanilla, freshly cut grass, flowers, slight smoke, mint, celery, and cinnamon…very interesting combination Palate: Cooked and raw agave, lots of mint, lemon, lime, orange, melon, black and white pepper, minerality, earth, anise, oak, alcohol, baking spice, banana, spearmint, and slight smoke…the flavor was far more complex and enjoyable than the nose let on Finish: Honey, white pepper, warming alcohol, and short…great and unexpected for a blanco Overall: I’m really surprised by this one. The flavors are somewhere right in between a blanco and a reposado while still coming through with the heavy citrus and agave I was expecting. I’m definitely going to have to try the other expressions, and this will invariably have a spot on my bar.

This is probably the favorite of the Tequileño line. Funny that Cuervo wanted to fight over the term “platino”. This is there 100% blue agave Blanco and is very good. I don’t think it compares to my favorite blancos but it’s getting close.

Initial aromas of lime and agave, very clean with a hint of sweetness. The taste consists of a very light citrus blended with agave, a touch of oak, and a pleasant consistency throughout. The finish is incredibly smooth blend of those same notes of agave and lime, with herbal notes of basil that linger on the palate. A true sipping blanco tequila that is among the best.

I will need to revisit this one. cooked agave on the nose and pallet along with pepper and little bit of heat. Tried it again and I can't get onboard with this one. It's an okay sipper but don't think it'll make regular rotation. Not a bad price around $40. Tried again and it’s not bad.

I’m sitting outside at the pool at Casa Salles and this tequila smells just like the air in the town!

Feels good to be getting back to reviewing. I caught COVID and my palate and nose were gone, I didn’t get to enjoy a proper tequila in months, but I’m back now! Aroma: Soft agave, ethanol, citrus, baking spices and i think a hint of cinnamon. Palate: Sharp hit of agave, the bright citrus on the nose comes right through, not quite orange, not quite lime, but something in between. The ethanol is very mild. There’s a lingering spice note, if you made me call it, I’d say cinnamon but that’s almost not quite right, but close enough. Verdict: Buy it. I’ve had the mixto Tequileno Blanco, and this is clearly leagues beyond that. A highly competent sipping blanco, I personally would not put this in a cocktail. It’s a little pricy in the $50 range, I’d recommend the half size if possible. I picked up the 375ml blanco + repo combo at Total Wine and I believe Old Town has it as well, would definitely recommend that if you can.

Got a slight taste of oak which was interesting, and still pleasant in a Blanco. I later learned this Blanco is rested in oak for a minimum of two weeks which explains the slight oak taste.

Herbal and slight vegetal on nose. Flavor of agave and soil followed by grassyness. Then, the burn hits and though doesn't burn the flavor away, after a few seconds a second wave of earthy, grassy balance. Flavor does improve after lett it open but burn is a bit much for my liking as others have mentioned. Faint coffee bean smell, stronger coffee bean flavor. Also picking up some coconut scent and flavor.

Just opened the bottle so I let it sit in the glass to mellow the alcohol a bit. Aroma of cooked agave, citrus and herbal. Flavor of citrus and cooked agave. Finish is a nice medium length.

Mango and cinnamon. Cooked agave. Black pepper. Delicious and unique. Softly sweet but a broad range of flavors in this blanco.

Nose: You need to give this some breathing time to coax out the bouquet. Warm, round agave aromas. Bright spices and peppery earthiness. Both lemon and orange citrus notes. Maybe melon or mango. Subtle herbal scent of dill and thyme. Flavor: Medium viscosity with a sweet and punchy agave/pepper kick off. The spices and citrus follow the nose, with the addition of silky salted caramel and anise. The flavors are much more dynamic than the aromas.

Tequileno Blanco I smell clean agave and sweet minerals. I taste a punch of sweet agave and pepper. There is a nice medium finish. This review is too simple for such a tasty tequila! Go buy one and let me know what you think.

Spicy, herbal, and a little too hot for my personal preference when sipping neat. Give it a few minutes to breathe and the alcohol dissipates lending a more approachable softness. Underripe banana and citrus peel up front with a lasting sweetness on the finish.
