“An aroma of primarily caramel, with a light minerality, sweet cinnamon, and a fair bit of apple pie. The flavors are somewhat muted, a sweet caramel profile with the same cinnamon apple pie notes from the aroma. The finish is short, mostly cinnamon and a honey-like sweetness.”

“Initial aromas of cinnamon, cooked agave with some citrus, and a faint amount of oak. Also has a certain sweetness that is reminiscent of Ecuadorian Miske. The flavor carries more of that cinnamon, with a certain element of honey, some vegetal agave, and black pepper. On the finish the sweetness fades, leaving notes of sweet cinnamon, similar in ways to Hot Tamales candy, some black pepper, and a bit of heat. ”

“Quite earthy on the aroma, with a mix of vegetal cucumber, lime citrus, some sage, anise, and a slight salinity. On the palate, very citrusy up front, followed by a nice hit of vegetal notes complemented by black pepper, earth, and sage. There is also a hint of vanilla in there as well. The finish leaves behind mostly herbal notes, as well as a fair bit of black pepper, some heat, and another hint of vanilla.”

“Deep, earthy, and vegetal aromas meld with sage and a good dose of black pepper. Continues into a pleasant, damp minerality, while the vegetal aromas become more identifiable as cucumber primarily. In the palate the flavors are heavily vegetal, with herbal sage coupled with that same earthiness from the aroma, as well as a slight blend of salinity and cooked agave. The flavors continue into the finish, with a sudden hit of strong black pepper that fades into a long lasting mix of vegetal sweetness and herbal sage, quite nice for a higher proof tequila.”

“Aromatic citrus up front, earthy undertones of herbal cooked agave, sage, and a slight bit of lime, grass, and brine. On the palate, lots of bright citrus, as well as a good amount of minerality coupled with black pepper and some vegetal sweetness, vibrant and flavorful. The finish is somewhat thin, but still leaves a clean blend of citrus, earthy black pepper, sage, and a light bitterness at the tail end. ”

“Initial aromas of muted cinnamon, oak, light caramel sweetness, some baking spice, as well as a bit of agave in the back with some light vegetal and green pepper notes. Agave forward on the palate, with some touches of oak sweetness, cinnamon, allspice, and a stevia-like sweetness. Has the characteristics of what can be described as a smoothed out blanco. The finish leaves behind some black pepper mixed with sweet agave and alcohol heat that dissipates quickly.”

“The aroma leads in with rich notes of oak, caramel, cinnamon, cloves, some cherry, and perhaps the slightest bit of chocolate. Also has some light aromas of earthy agave and anise the longer one spends with it. The flavor is a classic añejo caramel profile that blends with some agave sweetness. Deep fruit and oak notes are also present, mixed with cherry chocolate, as well as a more viscous consistency, which overall leads it to drinking more like an extra añejo than an añejo. On the finish, notes of the cherry remain, in addition to sweet cooked agave, caramel, and baking spices, that remain balanced over a long finish.”

“Initial aromas of honey blend with warm oak, cinnamon, a clean minerality, and some vegetal cooked agave. The flavor puts forward more of that honeyed agave, while also being light and crisp, the influence of the barrel is lighter on this one, creating an interesting blend of agave and oak. On the finish, a clean and mellow sweetness of agave and oak, that lasts a while, eventually gives way to notes of cinnamon and black pepper.”

“Initial aromas of cooked agave and cinnamon blend with elements of anise, earthy cucumber, black pepper, as well as notes of light creme brûlée and apple. The flavors are light at first before hitting with anise, a light sweetness, and a layer of moss-like funk minerality. The finish is full of vegetal and citrus notes, layered with even more anise, and a good dose of black pepper.”

“On the nose, earthy and citrusy agave, with a lovely minerality. Added herbal notes of basil are also present, with some faint hints of clove, allspice, black pepper, and a touch of oak. The flavor consists of a very earthy hit of vegetal cooked agave, cinnamon, with some light notes of anise, allspice, and a very light oak sweetness. The finish leaves behind sweet agave notes, mixed with a hit of black pepper, damp earth, cinnamon, allspice, and sage.”

“On the nose, bright and full of citrus, with a sweet lime juice aroma. A really vibrant aroma that showcases pepper, sage, celery, agave, a light cinnamon, layered over a pleasant minerality. The flavor is a classic, agave forward tequila profile, with citrus and vegetal notes carrying through into a lovely sweetness coupled with some hints of peppery celery. Progressing into the finish, the flavors become even more vegetal, with long lasting notes of sage, celery, citrus, black pepper, and a bit of agave sweetness.”

“Earthier aromas that are full of minerality, with lots of herbal notes, basil being up front, as well as a significant amount of vegetal cooked agave, and some anise. The taste is light at first but then comes in strong with a serious herbal, earthy punch of flavor. Basil all the way through, combined with a flood of anise. Ends on a finish of vegetal agave, sweet anise, and dry earthy notes that linger and fade into black pepper.”

“Slightly fainter yet still aromatic, with earthy and herbal notes, and slightly grassy, citrus aromas. Also has aromas of sweet cooked agave, and a hint of cucumber and anise. Light and sweet across the palate, with a pleasant agave forward profile, coupled with an earthy citrus kick, and some floral notes. Ends on a mellow finish of citrus, anise, cinnamon, and an earthy herbal medley.”

“Aromas of damp earth, very damp earth, combined with a bit of basil, agave, and minerality, though not that intense overall. The taste is somewhat muted at first but then develops into a flavorful blend of agave, garden herbs, and more of that damp earthiness from the aroma. A bit of citrus on the finish, dry with a decent amount of heat and black pepper that borders on bitter, with some herbal sage notes as well.”

“Earthy aromas, with a significant amount of vegetal notes, mainly cucumber, as well as some green pepper, black pepper, and some light citrus. Lots of citrus on the flavor, with strong herbal and vegetal notes, layered with anise, and some spicy jalapeño pepper. On the finish, a long lasting hit of black pepper and vegetal notes couple with sage and thyme. The alcohol heat slowly fades and ends on pleasant earthy flavors.”

“On the nose, vibrant, bright, and sweet lime citrus blends with a punch of black pepper and cooked agave. The aroma also has some light herbal notes of sage and basil, a light salinity, and some vegetal notes. On the palate, a potent hit of citrus, vegetal notes, black pepper, and light sage (very similar to the aroma) yet somehow drinks light and crisp despite the higher proof. The finish is a continuation of the flavor profile, with some added notes of salinity and a nice dose of citrus, sage, and black pepper.”

“The most notable part of the aroma is a type of plum sweetness, almost like a plum jam or a plum pie, as well as some caramel, oak, vanilla, and apple. On the flavor, quite a bit of fruit, in particular that plum jam profile, almost a bit like candy. A cinnamon and vanilla sweetness also comes through, with an overall profile more akin to an aged brandy. The finish hits with a sharp sweetness, with a cinnamon candy taste like a Hot Tamale, that levels out with some fruit and caramel. Also somewhat short and leaves behind a slight bitterness at the end.”

“The apple cider cask aging comes through nicely on both the aroma and the flavor, paired with some light cinnamon and cooked agave, which carry through into the finish. Glad I got to try this one.”
