Frida Kahlo Tequila Blanco
“Strong, mineral, chalky aroma, so powerful, it tainted the typical citrus smell of a pitcher of margaritas. ”

“The experience started with a medicinal alcohol aroma with a hint of orange zest. The scent wasn't pleasant, but it didn't derail the tasting. The flavor is pleasantly sweet with notes of cherry licorice, applewood, star anise, and butterscotch, which was prominent but faded quickly. The tequila feels light on the tongue. ”

El Tesoro Tequila Reposado
“It has a crisp, clean aroma, like the air after a spring midwestern rain. The initial flavor is woody (cedar) and nutty (almond), and it fades into a peppery, slight agave finish. ”

“Good mouth feel. Freshly mown grass and pleasant/subtle smoldering campfire on the nose. The initial flavor was a pronounced peanut butter, which was surprising yet amazingly different than other Blancos. I also got some honey, pear and milk chocolate. The finish was reasonably smooth with sweetness fading into a slight alcohol burn. ”

“Everything about this tequila is noteworthy. This was the first expensive tequila I bought when I started drinking tequila. Wonderfully floral aroma with hints of honey. A complex and smooth flavor dominated by a muted agave, butterscotch with a wisp of tangerine. Finish is smooth with no burn. Oh, and I love the bottle. ”

“Slightly smoother than the Blanco. Might be good for a mixed drink (e.g., a Paloma). Lots of other better choices. ”

Kirkland Signature Silver
“I love Kirkland products overall. This Blanco is uninspired with a flat flavor profile. It’s okay to use as a base for a pedestrian Margarita, but not to drink up or on the rocks. If you do drink it up, on a positive note, the finish is fairly smooth and agave comes through.”

Yeyo Blanco
“Clean aroma, almost imperceptible, very slight citrus and cedar notes. Flavor has nice agave, vanilla and very light grapefruit. Smoooth. Finish is wonderfully smooth with no alcohol burn. Slight grapefruit rind, with just a hint of bitter. I love the bottle but not a fan of glass stoppers. Buy this tequila. ”

“Aroma comes as wet leaves on a fall morning, light not strong. Hints of honey. Tastes of butterscotch, and vanilla slide over your tongue and finish softly in the back of your throat. Will buy and drink again. ”
