Ocho Tequila Extra Añejo
“A new favorite among my Extra Anejos. Very smooth and flavorful with an agave-forward taste and nice balance of spices. VERY pricey ($230-ish) in a Dallas, TX Total Wine.”

Volcan de Mi Tierra X.A Reposado
“I let it breathe for 20 min. before teying. Prominent oak flavor on the initial sip. Not very sweet and agave forward. The finish is a bit bitter/woody. Given that it's a Extra Anejo, it seems immature. could've been a blanco if I didn't know any better. Grossly, Grossly overpriced at about $182 (Total Wine, Dallas).”

Ocho Tequila Reposado
“The Reposado has a very agave-forward taste profile (which I prefer) and suggests an authentic, slowly-made tequila. Nice clean finish without a burn or overly sweet. You cannot beat the price point (at least in Texas) at about $55 bottle. This bottle is a staple in my rotation. The.Anejo is also pretty good but not as sooth a finish as the Reposado and with a slightly more peppery finish.”

Casa Azul Organic Tequila Añejo
“Not confirmed as additive free. Likely has some sweetner and vanilla flavoring given its very sweet and vanilla taste profile. Not an agave-forward taste as with non-additive tequila.”
