El Tesoro Blanco
“Holy mother of tequila. Not 100/100 because it’s impossible for a blanco to compare in complexity and smooth finish with an añejo. But it’s far more freshy. My rating reflects comparison with blancos! No apples and oranges. Price at 55-60$ a little steep because it’s not really aged and needed to be stored, but it is more premium a spirit than any whisky around this price range so no hard feelings. Exquisite.”

“It’s ok. Mixes great. Not great on its own, but it’s alright I guess.”

Siete Leguas Añejo
“Excellent, well balanced spirit. Cooked agave aroma, coats the mouth smoothly, clean and delicious finish. Truly one of the few great tequilas”

Jose Cuervo Especial Gold
“Is it really a tequila? Smells and tastes purely of alcohol. Nothing else in there. I could drink it as a party shot, provided i have already drunk something else before. Do not mix, it will ruin a cocktail.”

1800 Silver
“Alcohol is dominant with some agave in between. Not complex and i feel a weird unappealing sweetness with the alcohol. Not a throw away garbage but not good. Does agreeably well in cocktails where it isn’t the main player. Overpriced at 34$”

Orendain Ollitas Blanco
“Mine is the 40% abv version. Solid day to day Blanco. A nice soft agave and vanilla aroma. Soft agave profile, buzzy and mildly sweet on the tongue. Short finish. 32$ is not a bad bargain around the Mediterranean.”
