Very solid tequila, would favor the bourbon drinker. The cooked agave starts to get lost in the aging process
For the price point, this is a fair to better than most Anejo. Balanced, light heat and barrel influences. Blanco is the best of the three
The aroma on this was amazing. The remainder of the experience fell far from that. The taste was too bitter for me and the finish was heavy on alcohol aftertaste. The aroma was a strong mix of raw agave (very earthy, wet, and laced with citrus and florals) along with a light oak. The taste had almost no agave in it. I had a hard time with what felt like a battle between mint, cinnamon, and pepper and the butterscotch-caramel competition. The aftertaste again had a heavy alcohol component that wasn’t really present elsewhere. That transitioned to a sweet floral/butterscotch combo that tapers into a feeling that you have a bit of syrup on your tongue. Don’t get me wrong. This is complex, just a little too all over the place on the taste/finish.
Nose is soft…. Some agave, some spice, hint of cream-soda and a bit of alcohol. Amber in the glass. Creamy mouthfeel. Not much complexity but not much to complain about either. Mildly sweet with some peppery barrel spice. Finish is short and dry.
Nose is cooked agave, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is cooked agave, oak and chocolate. A little heat on the finish. The glass was a Chisholm Standard Proof Jarrito.

Agave flavor with a hint of vanilla
Our club really enjoyed this product. It is a rich, full bodied, tequila you can drink all night long. It has a very good aroma and smooth finish. This is a tequila that can be served in a warmer snifter and enjoyed after dinner or later at night. Our only reservation is the price to value ratio. But, if you like to explore tequilas this should be on your list.
Great overall Añejo
This one would be great for a new bourbon drinker coming over to tequila. It has a great agave flavor with some chocolate and vanilla Hintz a little bit of heat in the finish and some nice oak influence
