Very well made blanco but not my cup of tea flavor-wise. Had it side by side with the 2018 blanco in glencairns. Was really hoping to love it considering the reviews but not a fan of either of them.
Breaks the bank. But I love Fuenteseca’s XA. Lots of barrel but I always get agave and honey across all expressions. Delicious
On the nose: Beautiful sweet cooked agave, green vegetables, strong cinnamon, mint, almost banana like sweetness, On the pallet: Cooked agave, cinnamon, mint, vegital, Notes: Overall, this is in perfect lineup with the 2013 and 2018 cosecha releases. I would say it’s the most refined of the three. It’s really well balanced, it truly showcases these gorgeous agaves. Well worth the $90 I paid for it. Masterful tequila making.

I have compared the 2020 and the 2018 side by side twice now. Once when I first opened the 2020 and again after about a month of it being open. The 2020 has an amazing nose of agave, pepper, citrus, and cinnamon, with some brine. Such a buttery mouthfeel with mega agave on the palate with earth, cinnamon, citrus, pepper, and some light fruit notes with a touch of honey on the finish. I love the 2018 and never thought anything would top it but the 2020 does with its more intense flavor and complexity. So worth seeking out, or dont and save it for me!
