Aroma: 22/25 A thick and pungent nose with obvious depth and complexity. Starts off very herbal with hints of asparagus and green bell pepper. A savory and salty characteristic then starts to emerge. True agave elements really start to punch out the more it has had time to open up. A bit too savory for my palate which knocked it down. Palate: 29/30 Luscious and thick mouth feel. Silky, syrupy texture. Juicy Lemon at the front palate. Charred agave, savory and salt comes through in the mid. Green Herbaceous notes with a slight earthy hay at the end. Finish: 24/25 The finish goes on for days. I can still taste the pour several minutes after taking a sip. Warming on the sides of my tongue, and even seems to heat up my body as well. I find myself feeling hotter and hotter the more I sip. Value: 7/10 $99 in San Francisco. Expensive for a blanco, but not crazy given that it is rested for 5 years in stainless steel before bottling. Quality stands up to the Price tag

Big fan of the Cosecha releases. This release is so different. I feel like the flavors pop in the finish and linger in the palate vs. 2018 & 2013 where the flavors popped in the front. I’m not surprised that I don’t love it! It’s a bit pricey but for me I would rather spend a little more for an exceptional blanco. Aromas: lemongrass, rosemary, dill, brine, green olives, black pepper Flavor: savory notes, tobacco, black pepper undertones, (not as much brine as I picked up in the aromas) More saline and savory on the palate, with a lot of cooked agave that lingers into the finish. It also coats the mouth with a viscous oiliness. Finish: long finish with black pepper, tobacco, savory notes, lingering green olive, cooked agave, and creamy tropical fruit notes.

Loving this! I think it’s my favorite of the three Cosechas. I only had a taste at Mexico in a Bottle, so I’ll eagerly await a full glass to review properly. But this is one I’ll happily splurge for a bottle.
