Appearance A beautiful light golden color in the glass. It holds nicely to the Riedel, forming defined legs without appearing overly thick or syrupy. Visually, it has a clean and inviting appearance. Aroma On the initial opening of the bottle, I immediately picked up vanilla, cooked agave, and caramel. I let the tequila rest in the glass for about 15 minutes before nosing it again, allowing the aromas to open up and develop. Taste The first sip brought caramel and vanilla to the front, along with a touch of butterscotch. As it moved across the palate, the sweeter notes gave way to a noticeable agave character on the back end. I really enjoyed that the agave wasn’t lost behind the barrel influence. Finish The finish was smooth and pleasant, leaving my mouth slightly wet rather than dry or astringent. A gentle warmth lingered after the sip without becoming harsh or overpowering. Overall Impression Nosotros Reposado strikes a nice balance between the sweeter barrel-driven notes of vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch and the underlying agave. The barrel influence is noticeable without completely taking over, allowing the agave to still have a presence, particularly toward the back of the palate. An approachable and enjoyable reposado with a smooth, warming finish.

Aroma: Yellow florals, fresh herbs, cut grass, mint, petrichor, and citrus rind. Palate: Orange zest leads with subtle earthy and mineral notes. Finish: Medium finish with lingering orange zest, savory minerality, and a touch of sweetness. Overall Notes: A noticeable improvement from what I remember, showing better balance and a cleaner profile.

Aroma: Initially fairly restrained. I find cooked agave, a touch of earthiness, minerality, and black pepper, with some alcohol on the nose that comes across slightly solvent-like. As it sits, more cooked agave begins to emerge along with subtle barrel influence. Palate: The profile is soft and understated. Cooked agave is present but muted, joined by light minerality and a touch of oak. I also pick up a slight rubbery, musty note. Finish: Short to medium in length with lingering pepper and minerality and a touch of sweetness. As the tequila opens in the glass, the finish gains a little more character, but it remains fairly restrained overall. Overall: This reposado has improved from previous releases I’ve tried since the move to its new distillery, but it still leaves me wanting more. The flavors gradually open up with time, revealing more cooked agave and subtle barrel notes, yet I never found the depth or complexity I look for in a standout reposado. That said, not every tequila needs to be bold. If you’re newer to sipping tequila or prefer a lighter, more approachable style, this could be an easy introduction to the category. For my palate, though, it feels a bit too subtle and doesn’t quite hold my attention.

Nose: Oak, musk, caramel, agave, pepper Taste: oak, sweet caramel, pepper, cinnamon, agave, and spices A $50 Repo is not bad at all

Nose: sweet agave forward, pepper, herbs, citrus, cinnamon Taste: sweet cooked agave dominant, herbs, pepper, light touch of cinnamon on the finish Relatively simple profile. For around $45 not a bad value here.
