On the nose, I get a nice intensity of aromas. There’s lime zest, grapefruit rind, and limestone. It’s earthy with dry minerals, agave, some vegetal notes, and a slight hint of herbs. The vegetal notes hit first but it’s quickly followed by grapefruit rind and minerals that have an earthy spice. It’s agave sweetness, minerals, a vegetal note, and black pepper. Overall this tequila has a nice aromatic nose and some bright flavors with a medium peppery finish.
There’s aromas of cooked agave, orange zest and caramel along with some lighter vanilla notes. There a rustic and earthy quality that’s slightly spicy. The initial impact on the palate is spicy and sweet. There are flavors of caramelized agave sweetness, dark citrus zest, dry herbs, spicy barrel notes and a vegetal pepperiness. Overall this Reposado if full of flavors. There are several notable tastes and aromas. It has nice natural sweetness but it’s still earthy and spicy. It’s a nice sipper for a cool evening.
