old notes from 2015?!?! NOM 1079

NOM 1465 | Nom 1465. I think the Añejo is my favorite of the offerings. Still plenty of agave but some well rounded sweetness and barrel flavors. As it opened up I even got butterscotch! Fun.

NOM 1465 | This was very expensive for a long time in WA State and I never thought the value was there for the $$$$. Tequilas from this distillery have a subtle spice under flavor that takes a bit of tasting to come forward. I see it particularly in the Marquez de Valencia Reposado and the Frida Kahlo Añejo. I need to revisit the Baluarte Reposado and see how much commonality is there. Agave, cinnamon, oak, light vanilla and some alcohol blend and combine for a pleasing experience.

I’ve been looking foreword to tasting frida khalo for a while. This didn’t disappoint. Aroma is strong with fruit and agave. A little sweet but I would drink more. A decent tequila to introduce to newbies. Smooth and good.

Aroma and flavors of honey, oak and caramel. Medium body and finish. A simple and pleasant tequila in a very competitive price range.

Light touch on this. It's a pale color with the nose of a repo, but the flavor has agave balanced with nice caramel and vanilla. Surprising, really. The finish is mixed.

NOM 1465 | Very strong finish !!!! Hints of Vanilla and . Aroma is solid with light boozeness.

NOM 1465 | Very average in taste. Not something I would go out looking for. I did like the very slight Carmel undertones. Just not enough to make a difference

NOM 1465 | Aromas of buttered popcorn drenched in vanilla icing. It's very inviting and the on the first sip ur hit with vegetal and herbal notes. Not at all what I expected from the aromas. It did get better after I let it open up. Muted notes of caramel and vanilla was evident. Short finish but enjoyable once it opened up
