Casa Maestri Reserve de MFM is the house brand for NOM1438 who currently produces for 226 brands. They are a family owned distillery in Jalisco that specializes in private label development, bulk tequila supply and global export solutions. They claim to proudly serve clients in more than 50 countries. They used agave from the Valley and the Highlands and the ferment in stainless steel and they use stainless steel stills. The agave is cooked in Hornos and Autoclaves. There are aromas of bright green agave, crisp celery and some sweet white pepper with some sweet vapors. I taste fresh cut agave, white pepper and some sweetness that’s slightly cloying. Even though the sweetness might be enhanced the overall flavor is rather clean otherwise. It’s an easy Blanco tequila to sip and it would be good in cocktails if you’re looking for something mellow and sweet.
