Tasted at Sip Tequila Fest

tried at distillery on the BAT 2023 first cristalino without additives. Grassy on low nose. 4 mo repo pipones. Charcoal Filtered. it's OK but I prefer their other expressions better

One of the three top Cristalino’s being produced right now. Still showing some light barrel notes followed by agave and floral notes. Light sweetness.

Vanilla forward (not in an overly sweet way), soft on the palate, floral. A good one to pour for those starting out on their tequila journey. Additive free cristalino reposado. Tasted at the El Tequileno tasting room

Tasted at the distillery, this is a 4 month Reposado filtered clear. Tastes natural enough but side by side with the regular Blanco and Platino and Reposado this is last in all categories. Interesting but not a recommend.

for a cristalino, it's just about the best one along with Volcan. There is no additives in this

I’m not a fan of cristalinos but this one is nice. It’s got the vanilla notes of a Repo with some of the floral notes of a Blanco.

Tasted at Distillery

Aromas of sugarcane and agave lead into a pleasant caramel sweetness, with a hint of allspice and citrus, layered over a nice minerality, as well as some tropical fruit and a faint amount of black pepper. A distinctive taste, tropical fruits, mainly mango, some agave sweetness, very muted signs of barrel aging, with somewhat strange, muted flavors of vanilla, oak, and allspice. On the finish, an initially sharp agave sweetness progresses quickly into flavors of bitter black pepper and ethanol.

More vanilla than blanco, but slight

I don’t like Cristalinos. I don’t see the point to them. With that said. This is additive free and it’s easy to drink but very boring. But if I had to drink a cristalino this is the one I’d go with.

Good for a cristalino ….. some oak smell and flavor

Good but not impressed.

Clear, not much of the oily legs in the glass. Aroma of agave and citrus. Flavor was bland and medium finish. Not a huge Cristalino fan. The filtering takes away too much.

Hmmmm, a Cristalino that smells and tastes like tequila, what gives?!? This is an anomaly, really doesn’t profile like something that has been filtered. I still think Cristalinos should be avoided and are monkey shit, this one is delightful.

Peppery and sweet agave mixed with brine/salt, earth, some lime, citrus and hint of wood. Finish medium leaving pepper and sweet agave mingling in your mouth.

Nose: A surprising amount of agave aroma: the filtration process must have been deftly executed. Ripe tree fruit, some pitted fruit (cherry?) and citrus. Quite floral. Trace earthiness and light black pepper. Flavor: The pleasing aromas mentioned above, are somewhat muted in the tasting. There’s a fair amount of pepper heat, some salinity and abundant natural sweetness. It sits nicely on the palate. A light cedar note shows up in the finish. Cristalinos are not my thing - that being said, this is worthy of a try. Definitely the best of the currently produced Cristalinos. It would be an appropriate tequila for a newcomer not ready for a full on tequila experience.

Cooked agave, warm vanilla, and a touch of butterscotch on the nose. Smooth on the palate with white pepper, floral notes, and lingering warmth. Long, peppery finish makes it an easy sipper with depth.

At the distillery tasting room. Clear repo! Alcohol and agave smell and some fresh plant flavors. Nice mouthfeel with hot agave and some vanilla into a similar finish. It rides the heat really well using it as an accent.

Unique, but not really smooth. Flavors of apple and pear. Had at the tasting room in Tequila.

Primer cristalino que pruebo y por otros comentarios pensé que estaba horrible pero: Aromas: agave, cítrico, caramelo, vainilla, pimienta Paladar estaba más o menos lo mismo un poco picoso al bajar pero buen sabor a caramelo y dulsoso

The Cristalino process smooths this out way too much for me. Rates high in finish as it was exceptionally smooth which is as expected.

Agreed that this really just tastes of alcohol and pepper. Not very smooth or flavorful, and very harsh. El Tequileno’s platino blanco is much better. Not really sure how they let this one leave the distillery…
