“This is your crowd pleaser. The clear scent of freshly buttered cinnamon toast with a bit of smore action. The palate is rich and chocolatey but the prickle of spices keeps it from becoming cloying. This is definitely filed under the rich and delicious category. Sip this in lieu of dessert. Not for tequila nerds but a good value great-tasting sip for the cash.”

“This one smells like a florist's shop. There's some mild sweetness and pepper but the floral and green notes really reign supreme. The palate has a nice round mouthfeel and the sweetness and pepper show through considerably more in the mouth. The finish is a gentle buzz that lacks intensity but does hang on for a while. Really interesting to try as it has a very unique nose. Not one I expect to be a crowd favourite but it certainly has its place.”

“Rich but sort of clumsy - I find I go back and forth on this one. Sometimes the oak seems overwhelming and other times it comes off well. By and large however I believe that there are far better anejo tequilas for the money. The trouble is - are they available in your market? Chances are this one is and it is plenty enjoyable and a great introduction to anejo.”

“This has a wonderful campfire marshmallow with hints of cocoa and baking spice nose. The palate follows through from the nose and the balance is fairly well struck between the freshness of the agave and the barrel influence. A well-made ubiquitous offering.”

“This is a very smooth blanco but just a little flat and boring compared to what is out there. Solid stuff but uninspiring for a blanco drinker. Mild and polished to its credit though.”

“Sweet cooked agave nose, soapy, floral, sweet grass and mild pepper. Flavour is mild and slightly sweet echoing a lot of the nose with a mild astringent peppery finish that lingers. Really enjoyable although the finish is perhaps a touch hollow. ”
