“Aromas of caramel, confectioners sugar, kind of butterscotch and oak. Agave seems hidden under the aging, but it's still nicely balanced and enough to let you know it's tequila. I think this is the darkest tequila I've ever had. Tastes like it has been literally mixed with a bourbon like Eagle Rare. There is a hint of agave and some pepper, but it is just dominated by vanilla from the oak. It has the perfect viscosity and a medium-long finish that is both sweet and dry at the same time. I've had XA's that don't even compare to this.”

“Lucky me... I found this beer bottle sized treasure behind the gas station attendant. l NOM 1416. dated 03.12.14 Buttery roasted agave, sweet caramel and oak. Medium bodied, clings to the glass with slow long tears. Pleasantly sweet, butterscotch and light pepper. Oh, that tequila tingle, makes me smile and want another sip. Nice lingering finish with a good balance of mild agave and slightly bitter oak that's doing a lovely waltz for my senses. That's some tasty nectar.”

“I get a wet cement aroma with some agave on the nose. That cement and limestone flavor is overpowering the taste buds in an inoffensive way. No burn. Very pleasant. I think this may be my second favorite blanco I've ever had. Both bottles I've had are from batch 005. I hope it stays this way!”

“I really favor this anejo. It has a great balance of everything I look for in tequila; ever so mildly sweet, with tingle, no burn, satisfying. I paid a bit more than I would like, but I don't regret it either. Batch no. 003 and hope there isn't much change in the future.”

“For an anejo, it's at a good price. It drinks more like a reposado. There isn't any burn. Nice flavor from the resting. Good agave and oak mix with inoffensive alcohol. The nose did burn a bit, but the finish was relatively short. ”

“I enjoyed this tequila. It's a sweet, dessert style with lots of butterscotch and caramel, on the floral side. I sense a touch of dark berries and maybe sweet apple with a medium length finish. The downside is the agave seems muted by the sweetness.”

“I found some acetone notes on the nose. Otherwise, it seems to be a more polished version of the repo, with an added floral note and not quite as much pepper on the finish. Easy to drink, enjoyable. I got 2 for 1 price, and hoped for more out of this. I would recommend the anejo first.”

“Sweet agave aroma with caramel. Tastes like the cookie dough that mom used to make that she squeezed out of the contraption that looked like a caulk gun, and agave. A little on the thin side. Light agave start to finish with that tequila tingle. Excellent sipper on the sweet side balanced by the barrel. Found on sale $40 1 liter.”
