San Matias Cristal
“To preface, I loved the SM tahona tequilas, those are phenomenal. This is an atrocity. At $55 dollars a bottle no less. So lucky I was able to taste it without buying. I would rather drink Pinnacle Whipped vodka, I’m sure it would taste the same and be a fraction of the price. Loaded with vanilla additive to the point it smells like a vanilla frappe from Starbucks. Tastes like you left birthday cake in a sub par tequila bottle for a day and poured a glass. And I hope you loved that flavor because it clings to your tongue like it’s paying rent. ”

El Tesoro Tequila Añejo
“Aroma: lemon zest, woody and fresh with a hint of vegetal agave. Palate: sweet agave, barrel notes of vanilla and wood, smooth and flavorful. Overall, a beautiful añejo, of course.”

El Tesoro Tequila Reposado
“Smoky on the nose, with an agave sweetness hanging in there too. Very naturally sweet on the tongue. Peppery, with a little strength behind the alcohol but not in a harsh way. Robust and lingering flavor. ”

Fortaleza Reposado
“Beautiful subtle nose of light wood and agave. Smooth yet flavorful taste of agave and light barrel notes that don’t overpower. Beautiful finish with no sign of a burn. ”

Casa Mexico Blanco
“Nom 1545: Alcohol and Agave forward nose, herbal sweetness on the tongue. Bright but with an almost baking spice warmth in flavor. For the price ( 26.99 for me) probably one of the best Margarita tequilas I have found. Honestly, blew me away. Highest of the middle shelf.”

Patrón Silver
“So filtered that the flavor is muted to the point of non-existence. Very faint agave. Smooth, but at the cost of tasting bland. Faint ending alcohol notes. Literally nothing going for it and then you factor in the $50+ Price tag? Highway robbery. ”
