El Tesoro de Don Felipe Paradiso
“smooth, peppery, caramel. Subtle sweetness (not too much). agreed I'm a cognac barrel - gives a very complex flavor. Generally excellent, but has a little edge that competes with the flavors.”

Don Abraham Extra Anejo
“surprisingly smooth. great vanilla and caramel with just enough pepper. A thicker consistency, but still not too sweet. I think it's with for the shelf! Tierra Noble extra Anejo is a tad sweeter, less pepper, but a little smoother. both are on the same level for me ”

Chamucos Añejo
“all good even flavors: pepper, cinnamon, a little vanilla, a little caramel. The more I drink, the more tired the alcohol flavor comes through. it needs other flavors to come through instead. El Agave said this is good, but the extra Anejo is even more popular. It might have more caramel flavor, which I think this needs. I need to try that!”

Tierra Noble Exquisito Extra Añejo
“even better than they Anejo. not as sweet (surprisingly), more oak flavors: pepper, caramel, some vanilla. similar to 4 Copas Anejo, but more caramel and vanilla and a little sweeter. made in French oak & stainless steel. I think I might prefer the French oak vs American oak.”

“Recommended by Javier at El Agave on 3-18-23. Good flavors and finish, but not quite as smooth as I like. Drinkable & mostly enjoyable, but I would not consistently reach for it in the cabinet.”

El Tequileño Reposado Rare
“Similar to Don Pilar extra anejo, but more peppery and not quite as smooth. complex with vanilla and oak. Amazing for what I'm told is a reposado. Aged 6 years! I'd still put it in the class of top favorites. $180 at Old Town 10'23. a little sweet though, so I don't reach for it as much as others”
