Tequila Cambio Añejo
“The nose has everything I want from a French oak aged expression. The palate has everything I need: fruit, barrel spices, rich cooked agave, berries, coffee, chocolate, spices, all balanced in such a delicious orchestra. For me, this is Anejo perfection. Pair this with my favorite stick: Oliva V Melanio, or some peanut M&M’s - trust me. ”

Curado Tequila Blanco (Cupreata)
“The nose has everything that I love about 1474: minerality and citrus. There is also a nice honey note that I like. The taste is a really great balance of tangerine and minerality. There a gentle pepper spice and a very pleasant finish. I don’t know if I’m tasting Cupreata, but I know that I’m tasting a well made tequila. Pair with a Cain Maduro or perhaps a marmalade cookie. Cheers! ”

Montagave Blanco Las Rocas
“The normal 1123 aromas are masked by the wonderful petrichor and wet cement notes. There is a subtle quince fruit and coffee aroma that I love. The palate has a great balance of fruit flavors, black pepper and minerality. The finish is lovely cooked agave with pepper spices. Pair this with a Romeo Y Julieta 1875 Robusto or perhaps a lemony dessert. Cheers! ”

Amatiteña Barrancas
“The smoke is prevalent, to a point where the true-blue-agave heads may want to skip this - especially at the price. Mezcal and scotch lovers, you are in for a treat. The mango aromas take some time, so let it sit in the glass. The brine, the fruit, the mouthfeel and the finish are what makes me keep coming back for more. Delicious! Pair with a La Roma de Cuba Mi Amor cigar, or perhaps a mango or pineapple cheesecake. Cheers! ”

Wild Common Tequila Añejo
“Upon first pour, some nice sweet agave, cinnamon and wood. After some time and air, the well recognized 1123 minerality comes through and then there are subtle flavors of banana, lemon peel, cinnamon. The palate definitely shows its proof, and the baking spices overpower the softer fruit flavors that I was hoping for from the nose. I actually added some water, and it tasted really good and how I was expecting. This is a very good higher-proof Anejo expression from 1123. Pair this with a Perdomo Anniversary Champagne cigar, or some creamy dark chocolate squares. Cheers! ”

Tejitas Añejo
“Great barrel sweetness like caramel and vanilla. Creamy on the mouthfeel, with a slight tannic mid-palate, but then back to an enjoyable vanilla cream finish. The value is good enough to recommend, and if you’re into cigars, I highly recommend. If you’re looking for something more complex, perhaps consider spending more on something different. ”

Tequila G4 Blanco Madera (Lot 01)
“All of the earthy, mineral, agave forward glory of the regular G4 Blanco, with a slightly softer and buttery texture and aroma. Excellent mineral heavy Blanco. ”

Tequila Cambio Reposado
“There is plenty of the DNA from the Blanco here, but with so much more. There are nice cognac and white wine notes on the nose and the palate. It is a bit more buttery with a soft wet wood note, and then a bit of the mint and pine that is found in the Blanco. Definitely a Repo for lovers of wood, cognac and barrel notes. ”

Tequila Cambio Blanco
“On the nose, there is a bit of ethanol, some green vegetal note, and a little pleasant funkiness. The taste is very pleasant with sweet agave syrup note, which rolls into some mint and some pine tree notes of the wood and the pine needles. Very interesting and a departure from a lot of other Blanco tequila. The wood resting is notable, but it’s still clean and crisp and not overly buttery. First crack was not too good but with time this has become a hitter. ”

Ocho Tequila Añejo
“The nose is very complex with cooked apples, slight mint and banana, tons of baking spices, earthy minerals and still a good agave soul. The palate is full of sweet notes like butterscotch, lemon and sweet floral notes, along with savory notes of wood spice, minerals and cooked agave even to the very finish. This might be my favorite Añejo. ”
