Nice viscous mouthfeel. Lots of agave, mixed with vanilla , barrel notes, pitted fruit citrus and a slight bitterness like orange peel. Little pepper on the backend

Aroma: dried fruit: stone, apple, honey, a lot of floral: gardenia, honey suckle FL: getting cinnamon, dried fruit, cherry, honey, same numbness the blanco has- sits right on my tongue Finish: medium- same oiliness that lingers like the blanco

Citrus, vanilla, and woody with some sharp green herbs or veg. Dry finish.

Medicinal nose and swirling coats the glass which turns over several minutes into slow tears. I suspect glycerin added to this from the viscosity. Otherwise flavor is not exceptional with some agave sweetness, oak spice and a medium finish that clings to the tongue. Not any real bitterness here as in some reposado, but also nothing distinctive in the overall flavor and presentation except the matte black bottle and that glycerin.

Aroma: (20) agave, oak, mineral, vanilla Taste: (24) get the same mineral taste from the blanco but with hints of oak & vanilla Finish: (19) quicker than expected was hoping for more oak & vanilla but it didn’t stay on pallet. Overall: (79) good repo but for the price there are better options.

Black round bottle, 40% abv., LOTE: COR100521, marbete is recent but doesn’t contain info, acquired recently, tasted on 5-25-24. Color: light yellow to yellow. Aromas: hint of cooked agave, light creamy vanilla, light effervescent sensation, agave fiber, hint of citrus, light minty sensation. Unnatural aromas… Palate: confirms aromas perceived, tastes just like how it smells, ends slightly sweet but seems unnatural, but light. Finish is medium to medium long, hint of cooked agave, light vanilla ice cream, hint of herbal or agave fiber note persists.

Fairly smooth for shot drinking not a supper by any means. Worth a try if you can find it.
