Always great to find a budget friendly bottle that exceeds expectations. Very solid repo. Agave, mango, citrus, slight vanilla, minerals, cinnamon. Under 20 bucks, but sadly only available at El Buho and a few spots in Mexico.

Delicious but light and easy reposado, which has 5% extra anejo from French oak blended in. Enjoyable, uncomplicated and inexpressively priced, Mexico only tequila.

Great expression from Emilio at El Buho in Tlaquepaque. Buttery, caramel-y goodness. And for around $17 US, its a steal. But you gotta get yo self to GDL to get it.

Tasted at Don Quinta Jose. The name brand from El Buho liquor store. Only in MX. aroma is wonderfully complex and warm. Taste is good with pepper and sweet and finish is ok.

This is only available at one store in Tlaquepaque and made just for them.... at a great price. Aroma of cooked agave, caramel and oak from the barrel. Flavor of agave, oak and butterscotch. Medium, oily finish to a nice sipper.

Nose: Caramel, vanilla and orange blossom. Round agave with cinnamon notes. Flavor: Viscous, buttery butterscotch and brown spices, chocolate with plentiful agave and a touch of white pepper. Medium long peppery finish. A pleasant sipper.

Mexico only bottle from the store in Tlaquepaque of the same name. Agave and caramel on the nose. Nice mouth feel and spice that finishes with a hint of bitterness. Very nice for the $350 peso price.

A solid tequila that you can only get in Mexico from Emilio, the owner of El Buho in Tlaquepaque. Caramel, toasted agave, nuts, and vanilla aromas. It's not complex, but it is super easy to drink and enjoyable.

Very pleasant tequila with carmel and toasted agave nose. Nice, medium weight mouthfeel and an unbeatable price.

High rating due to value. Probably the best value in the tequila world today, but only available in Guadalajara. It’s now being bottled under the El Tecolote name. Easy drinking, yet nice complex repo. If you go to El Buho it’s obligatory that you leave with one of these.

A very nice reposado. Classic flavor profile, nice barrel treatment. I enjoyed this one a lot.

Lote: 240616R1, bottled on 31-10-2016, tasted on 12-11-23. Color: dark yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, vanilla, buttery, herbaceous, light black pepper. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, agave note is sweeter on the palate, light caramel, good sweet sour & acidic balance. Finish is medium to long, light cooked agave with herbaceous and light acidic notes persist.

Price is a bargain Aroma Herbal y citrico, tambien un poco de alcohol en el aroma. Es un reposado delicioso, lo disfrute mucho , facil de tomar solo. Solo se vende en Mexico en la tienda El Bhuo. El precio es insuperable por esta calidad de tequila.

This is some seriously good tequila, especially for the price. If you are anywhere near Tlaquepaque I recommend you to find the store El Buho and see the owner Emilio for a bottle of his tequila. It's smooth and has a great buttery aroma. I love this stuff!
