La Pulga repo 40 abv Sample from Kent Boring Nose: barrel spices, floral notes, cinnamon, tropical fruit, mild alcohol Palate: agave, cinnamon, vanilla, even got a touch of coffee, pepper Finish: agave fades to mild oak wirh a dry finish that lingers This is a nice repo at around $60

Decent repo with a light nose. I get agave and light cinnamon. Breathe deep and you can get some vanilla and caramel. On the Imgur, sweet agave comes forward. I get light barrel notes and some pepper. Not a lot of flavors pop but overall it is a drinkable tequila

Vessel: Glencairn Jarrito Nose: Cinnamon, Vanilla, Peach, Agave, Butterscotch, Honeysuckle Mouthfeel: Medium to Full Bodied Palate: Honey, Citrus, Orange Blossom,Stonefruit Finish: Vanilla, Honey, Floral, Carmel I very much enjoyed this reposado. This offering from LA Pulga was fruity and floral with the typical "warm and sweet" notes you get with aged expressions( Honey, Vanilla, Carmel etc). For a reposado, I'm very impressed with the level of complexity aim getting with this one.

Nose: apple, agave, wet oak. Taste: dry peppers, apples, oak, agave, brown sugar, vanilla on the good way. Finish: easy, smoky, very pleasant. Conclusion: in my top 20 reposados!! I will drink this again

Nose: Cooked agave, bell pepper, fresh basil, honey, and a mineral undercurrent. Savory and inviting. Palate: Viscous and lush. Honey candy, cooked agave, and caramelized sugar up front then clove, cracked pepper, anise, and licorice building through the mid-palate. Sweeter than the blanco but well balanced throughout. Finish: Warm and layered. Red Hots, wintergreen, vanilla taffy, and a salt and pepper effect on the long exit. Overall: The blanco is edgier but the reposado is the crowd pleaser. The Tennessee whiskey barrel choice adds a distinctive sweetness without going bourbon adjacent. A well crafted bottle with a great story behind it.

$60 Reposado. This represents a classic high lands profile tequila. A nice clean sweet agave forward reposado balanced with a nice oak barreling that doesn’t overpower the cooked agave. The 40% is very easy to drink neat. A very well made tequila.

LOTE ER03192T11, acquired recently, tasted on 6-28-25. Color: yellow to slightly dark yellow. Aroma: light raw agave with a hint of cooked agave, light acidity, hint of sourness, light citrus. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, citrus with a hint of sourness on my retronasal. Thick mouthfeel. Finish is medium to medium long, light cooked agave, hint of citrus with a hint of wood note and sourness persists.

Incredible barrel flavor, but the agave stands up to it because of the unique earthy flavor profile that la pulga employs. Darker and richer than several añejos I’ve tried. Massive bargain for those that enjoy aged tequilas.

Aroma: honey, sweet agave, lemon, minerals, light mint Taste: honey/sweetness. Very good minerality and mint as well. Smokey agave notes. Smooth and buttery Finish: like the blanco, WOW! Amazing finish. Sweet buttery notes along with the mint linger well after.
