Nice aroma, mellow and easy. Tasty, peppery, sharp but not too pointy. Deep lasting finish. Clean and flavorful.

Nose: vanilla/ caramel/ oak / butter/ hint of vegetal / light fruit / hints of melon and apple / baking spice-nutmeg / orange peel / tea / hay / butterscotch/ Taste: vanilla/ anise/ agave cooked/ oak / baking spice / nutmeg/ pepper/ banana/ melon / orange peel / tea / butterscotch/ molasses/ cream soda Finish: medium viscosity mouthfeel /evenly coats the palate coating and provides a lingering sweet, oak, and baking spice romp over your tongue, but the harsh french oak bitterness comes in at the end and screams ‘fire’ in the theatre full of otherwise balanced vanilla, agave sweetness. The french Oak notes are just too pronounced. This Repo has a lot of enjoyable flavors and tries to maintain the vanilla, agave, and baking spice sweetness despite having the 400 lbs gorilla named French Oak pushing those flavors out of the way. This repo may get easier to sip over time as the flavors work to find balance with the heavy French oak notes. This one needs to breathe a lot. If not for the bitter oakiness, this repo would be much more enjoyable.

Aroma is a bit muted over the Blanco with an oak element added. Still an easy entry with some bite on the finish, this has a bit of bitterness at the end.

The nose on this one is nice with sweet agave and barrel spices. It brings out vanilla and caramel. A bit of oak. On the palate I get agave and cinnamon along with vanilla. The 40 ABV doesn’t bring out an explosion of flavor. Finish is light but does leave alcohol burn. Thank you Tequila Diva for the sample. I like it just fine but so many repos I’d pick before this one.

Vessel: Glencairn Glass Nose: Oak, Vanilla, Carmel, Nutmeg, Yeast, Floral and Fig Mouthfeel: Extremely light bodied, much like the Blanco. Palate: Orange, Cinnamon, Clove, Black Pepper Finish: Vanilla, Orange Pith, Cinnamon, Raisin I got a bitterness the whole way through. The nose was the highlight but the finish again was problematic for me. It was short lived and had a lot of bitterness to it that made it hard to enjoy any of the other notes. This is still an improvement from the Blanco but also still nothing to write home about. Nonetheless this was another gift sample from TequilaDiva, and any sample from a friend is much appreciated!

i got some sweetness, barrel spices, vanilla, caramel, apricot, some pepper. fruit came thru as it opened, along with a little oak. like the blanco, the palate is more subtle than the nose. the finish is mellow and warm. again, could this be due to the carbon filtratation, and possibly the barrels were exhausted because there is not a heavy wood profile for 8 mos aging. overall beautiful, classy bottle, easy sipper. tho price was reduced from $109 to $86, it's still a bit high for a 40abv repo

Rested in French oak for 8 months. Inviting Flowers, berries, vanilla, and oak on the nose. Flavors of agave, anise, vanilla, and baking spice. Nice tears and a lasting tingle. Pricey.

The aroma on this Repo kept evolving for me, rotating through agave, floral, some citrus and spices. The flavor is pretty light, but the flavors I get are nice. As it opened up, I got a strong licorice flavor at the end, which was my first flavor on the Blanco. Price point is high.

My favorite expression from the Agua de mexico brand

I feel like this repo greatly influenced by the barrel which I’m not opposed to depending on what I feel like drinking. On the nose I’m getting those classic whiskey notes, vanilla, caramel, some chocolate. The palate has some agave but I feel the oak steals the show. It’s has a sweet and peppery finish.

Nose: Ethanol was a it more subdued than the blanco. Slight barrel influence. Still bright. Honestly, not too far off from the nose on the blanco. Just a tad more savory/salinity and less floral. Taste/Finish: Sweetness overpowers other flavors a bit too much for me. Quite a bit of vanilla, caramel and cinnamon roll. Not much barrel influence. Sweetness drowns out some of the other offerings. A little less balanced than the blanco. Wanted the agave to be the star of the show, but it’s muted here for sure.
