This is an amazing Extra Anejo blend but the price tag will bring it down a few points.
French Oak Bomb. The taste and aroma go hand in hand. All that you gather in the nose explodes on the taste bud with vanilla, caramel, clove, toasted bread, clinging dark chocolate, tingling allspice, nuttiness (?), and anise. The cask’s flavors are layered and coat the palate, feeling a bit silky, hiding the fact that it’s a bit higher in proof. The finish and drydown are an amalgamation of anise, cooked agave, allspice, and fading vanilla tones.
At first, the taste is fairly ashy. Then a lot of sweetness comes in. Overall a decent age Tequila. And a pretty bottle.
Sweet agave nose, cinamon and agave on palate, good finish.
