Old school 1414 tequila that is no longer made. Nice agave and minty nose. Some vegetal notes along with pepper some citrus and some mineral. On the palate, I get agave and pepper first and foremost. A lot of citrus with a touch a cinnamon and mint. This was send to me by Agave Love Lore. Thanks Brad!
la condesa austin nov 2015...We met Jayson (Jay) the distiller for Tequila Cabeza who bought us each a drink. good blanco - clean, agave fwd w/ hints of anise and pepper.
I get lots of salt, mint and hints of mineral on the nose. The Tasting notes I get are a buttery and briney sea salt with more minerally than other offerings I've had from 1414. Not bad but didn't blow me away like some of the other brands I've enjoyed from 1414. That said, still a solid blanco!
The stronger, the better when it comes to the champagne of Mexico.

Nose: A briny, mineral bomb with a pop of pineapple brightness. Agave and raw vegetal notes sit just beneath, giving it that clean, old school character that feels both rustic and alive. Palate & Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a gentle oiliness that carries flavor well. Sweet agave leads, followed by a burst of bright lemon citrus. A salted butter minerality rolls in next, adding texture and depth. White pepper builds gradually, bringing slow, steady warmth, while fresh bell pepper keeps it grounded and earthy. Finish: Medium in length, echoing sweet agave and salted butter. The white pepper continues to build after the sip, peaking with a pleasant, residual heat that leaves the palate invigorated. Final Thoughts: This one carries that unmistakable old school agave soul. It’s bright, mineral, and full of life. The 43% ABV keeps it easygoing and welcoming to anyone who appreciates authentic tequila character. It’s clean, flavorful, and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish - the kind of pour that reminds you why you fell in love with agave spirits in the first place.
