AMM Blind Tasting: Aroma: a little funk to it maybe some mushroom hints some olive brine and green veg. Palate: herbal some honey cooked agave citrus with a little pepper. Finish: lengthy some decent burn. Nothing overly remarkable. Scored well on value.
Rated blind with AMM: Earthy, vegetal, grassy, with jalapeño. Descent finish, but a little too green for my taste.
We selected 10 high-quality organic blancos, all from different distilleries, to see how they compared when tasted blind by 22 members of our tasting panel.
If the agave cultivation and production process is approached with care, each tequila-producing state and subregion—even a single rancho—has the potential to demonstrate a unique sense of place
AMM blind: I really like the aroma, which is briny/olives and grass. Taste is similar and also has some floral/sweetness. Finish has a slight bitter punch, but is overall nice.
