Bottle: AMM’s First Blind Tasting of 2026, Bottle #3 Appearance: Clear Nose: Cooked agave, yeast/dough, butter, flowers, gardenia, citrus, lime, ruby red grapefruit, minerality, wet cement, herbal, lemongrass, mint, eucalyptus, basil, cinnamon, and dry earth…this is nice Palate: Cooked agave, yeast/dough, citrus, lemon, lime, flowers, herbal, cinnamon, and white pepper…much less expressive than the nose Finish: Yeast/dough, white pepper, citrus, alcohol…short to medium duration with a thin mouthfeel My blind score: 82 Panelist average blind score: 82.75 Difference: -0.75 Overall: For me, it’s difficult to assign value based only on tasting. I think production practices and packaging matter and try to take that into account, even if it doesn’t 100% translate to the sipping experience. Tahona crushing is time-, labor-, and overall resource-intensive. That being said, I’m pretty sure I underscored this one. I enjoyed the floral and slightly funky characteristics that other panelists also identified, though I admittedly (as you can see above) was one who thought the palate was relatively less expressive. I’m looking forward to trying this in a full size bottle and hopefully will be able to appreciate the mushroom and hay notes (which I generally really like) on the go-around that I didn’t get initially.

Blind tasting with AMM: This was a really enjoyable and slightly unique blanco, with a bright, floral character that stood out right away. On the nose, cooked agave is present, but what really jumps out is the floral quality. It honestly comes across like smelling a fresh bouquet of flowers. There’s a vegetal backbone supporting it, along with bright citrus that keeps things lively and fresh. On the palate, the cooked agave carries through, joined by a savory olive note that adds depth. Black pepper brings a bit of spice, while citrus keeps it balanced. The floral element shows up again as a light lavender note, giving it a distinct and elegant twist. Minerality rounds out the finish, keeping it clean and crisp. Overall, this is a well balanced blanco with a unique floral-forward profile that makes it memorable. A really pleasant and easy-drinking pour with just enough complexity to keep things interesting.

A subdued nose to start. There’s green tea, kiwi, guava, anise, florals(bordering on soapy), and detergent sheets but nice. On the palate there’s citrus pith, lemon, bay leaf, intense florals, clay, green tea, and underripe pineapple. The finish is good, although slightly bitter on the tail end. This is a solid blanco, although not my preferred style. It leans too far into the florals and bitter citrus for my palate.

I’m really into this one. It has complexity and depth, with aromas of cinnamon, hay, minerals, mushrooms, grapefruit, and a teeny tiny bit of lactic funk as a base. This is fun. Flavor is cooked agave, hay, and olive that continues on the finish. Nicely done.

This was a sample from Christine H (Tequila Diva). Anise, pepper, agave, and maybe some yeast on the nose. On the better side of good. Flavor isn’t bad. Very easy to drink but nothing is really jumping out flavor wise. Light agave, vegetal, minerals. pretty thin feel. Props on a very easy sipper. The finish is light, not as much bite as I like. I like my tequila to remind me to be careful. I could drink this way too quickly just trying to define it. Not sure how much it goes for but I like their concept and would recommend this to someone who’s been done wrong in the past and needs an easy going re-entry into Tequila.
