A really nice treat. Lots of agave on this right upfront on the nose and initial sip. From there hints of black pepper, caramel and a ton of cooked agave keep coming. An exceptional finish with the right amount of heat. Could sip this all night. If you see this, don’t pass it up. An old school gem.

Aroma: The scent of Cooked Agave is immediately accompanied with Oak, Rich Vanilla, Caramel, and Candied Citrus. A Cinnamon that mixes with White Pepper offers those spicier touches. The Minerality is on full display, even with the barrel aging. A very pleasant Floral note is very present. Fruit abounds in the nose! Tropical Fruits are the more dominant of these fruits, but there is a slight tinge of sweet and tart Raspberries. And at the very end an ever so slight Very Ripe Melon makes itself available. Taste: The Traditional Barrel Aged notes of Oak, Caramel, and Vanilla surround the Cooked Agave. Cinnamon with a touch of Black Pepper tingle the senses. The Minerality is definitely a big factor on the taste. The Floral note from the Aroma moves on to the taste in a very nice way. It brings a lot of finesse to the pour. Like the aroma, those fruity notes are here as well. Tropical Fruits of Pineapple and Papaya are blending with Berry Fruits of Strawberries and Raspberries. These sweeter flavors are finished with a drying Almond flavor that helps balance the sweeter notes. This was a nice Rollercoaster of flavors that I haven't encountered often combined together. Finish: A balance of sweet, barrel aged, and drying flavors ride a nice spiciness for a medium to long run. TMM- 87 Salud!

Vessel : Glencairn Nose: Carmel, Cinnamon, Plum, Molasses, Citrus, Agave Cooked and Raw Palate: Grass,Butter, Carmel, Black Pepper, Minerality Finish: Butter, Shortbread, Fig, Almond, Toffee From the nose to finish, there's so much going on here. I get dried fruit, molasses, and sugarcookie/shortbread through the entire experience. I get some orange/citrus notes on the nose, but they're only making a cameo. The palate is spicey and vegetal, yet sweet and robust. The finish is long. It brings the robust to a climax and ends with a more dominant sweetness to balance it out. This is a top notch pour.

Nose: Yeast, Raisin, Floral, Anise, Cinnamon, Mint, Green Apple, Vegetal Mouthfeel: light-bodied, Palate: Cinnamon, Smoke, Black Pepper Finish: Cherry, Almond, Toffee, Clove, Cinnamon This Añejo is very rich. The body is light, but the flavor is far from it. I get lots of dried fruit, nutty, and spice notes in this one. The finish is very impressive, long and full of character.
