there's a strange woody nose that seems artificial. it carries thru to the palate, which is aspartame sweet with a dry finish. not my thing. note, we've had this bottle open for several years.
nom 1416 something weird i cant define on the nose. palate is super sweet like aspartame. completely lacking agave in the profile. but it is sippable if u like super sweet artificial flavors
NOM 1416 Tried this in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2015 during Superbowl 49 at $90 a shot. then we foolishly purchased a bottle for $500. just realized i hadbt rated it... back then, 2015, I liked sweet aged tequilas. (I liked the repo better than this anejo tho). today, I cant drink any of these sweet sugar bombs. flavor palate = vanilla caramel whiskey. no agave.
Light to medium amber color. Aroma of vanilla, cooked agave, alcohol and oak. Flavor of vanilla, artificial sweetener, cooked agave, black pepper, butter and oak (that tastes added). Finish was not long, except for the pepper spiciness. At least it's a pretty bottle.
Caramel vanilla and warm citrus on the nose, not much agave. Medium body mouthfeel. Immediate punch of artificial sweetener - strong vanilla & caramel - but cloyingly so. I dint pick up on agave. Short finish with aspartame aftertaste - no burn/heat. I can see how this is can be a gateway “”tequila” in the same way sugar and milk are a common gateway to coffee. Incredibly overpriced. Pretty bottle.

Chances are, you have seen it in upscale resorts, bars and restaurants around the world. You may have read about it in luxury lifestyle magazines: the gorgeous, shapely-silhouetted bottle of tequila, hand-crafted in Mexico with stunning artwork. But you
