NOM 1137 Nose: Cooked agave comes forward first, touched by mint and honey. Anise adds a sharper edge, while fresh cut grass gives it a green, outdoorsy quality. Palate & Mouthfeel: The texture is thin, almost watery, and the flavors from the nose carry through with little development. Cooked agave and anise are most present, joined by a light minerality and a trace of ethanol that pokes through more than it should. Finish: Quick and fleeting, leaning on ethanol and anise with a mineral note reminiscent of well water. Final Thoughts: This tequila is straightforward and inoffensive, though it lacks depth. Nothing off putting, but not much to hold attention either. It’s fine, just not particularly memorable.

El teporocho silver NOM 1137 LOTE 10077 Sample from junior zander I like the nose - mint, anise, a little alcohol. At first, the palate was subtle with some agave, hay and mild bitterness. 2nd sip showed more bitterness and astringent. Didn't care for the taste or finish. note: Glencairn 4pm an hour after arroz con pollo

The nose is a little citrusy and fruity up front, but it definitely has some bitter, alcohol and artificial notes on the end. The palate is maybe cinnamon and limestone that fades into something that tastes bitter, astringent, and chemical. The finish confirmed that bitter, ammonia like taste with ZERO redeeming qualities in the front or back end. I got this as a sample, knowing nothing about the product. In my opinion, this tequila most certainly has additives.
