My buddies gave this to me for my birthday. What a treat. Nice nose of cinnamon, barrel spices, raisin, and chocolate On the palate I get a lot of cinnamon. The taste lingers on the tongue and the lips. Earthy, minerality, black pepper. Great long finish. If you are a lover of G4 this is a very nice one. Knocked it a point for price even though it was given to me by my friends. I know they paid a lot for it.

Wow! Sampled at Starved Rock Tequila Fest. Dinging this one for price, though this anejo IS less expensive than last year’s Reposado. But when it comes to aroma, flavor, and finish—this is a banger! Get yourself a glass ASAP. Classic G4.

This was an absolutely beautiful pour, and G4 is one of my favorite brands. I was able to try this tonight at a Día de los Muertos party, and the madera impact on the añejo was really nice. I think that it was a little too ethyl-forward to spend the money on it, even if half of the cost is the collector’s box.

Aroma: (27) Agave, oak, baking spices, cinnamon, black pepper, apple, dark chocolate Taste: (24) Dark chocolate, oak, apple, black pepper, hint of agave Finish: (27) nice lingering dark chocolate, nuts, Overall: (90) Great Anejo still has the presence of agave but a great balance with the barrel notes including dark chocolate. $250 is high, part of price is for wood box. Value (5). I’ve had this bottle for about a month but waited until Nov 2 (12:11am) for Dia de Muertos to open. It was definitely worth the wait!

Lost points for price, but this is an excellent tequila.

Ugh. Just another superb Dia De Los Muertos special edition money suck. The actual tequila is an all-time great, pretty damn near perfect. But why must we have the $100ish up-charge for the wooden box? They got me for two of them, but I would have gotten a case if it weren’t for the price.

Excellent. I get some chocolate, baking spices, and agave on the nose. The body gives way to chocolate, baking spices, and more cooked agave. Really nice finish. Probably the best limited release tequila of this year. Got this at High Spirits aka NOM 609.

G4 Dia De Los Muertos Anejo Madera Really great Anejo, should be 90-91 but the high price point brings it down a few points.
