“Pepper cooked Agave and citrus. If this was a smaller distiller the rating would be higher. It’s an excellent silver and is getting penalized for being from Patron most likely. Price point is a little high and I would probably opt for Forteleza Still Strength at this price point, but this is a good tequila for sure”

1800 Silver
“It is what it is. It’s a decent mass produced pure agave tequila. No, it’s not Fortaleza but it’s not undrinkable. I buy a handle for beach trips to make Margs and it is still a decent shooter. Price point is about right although I would go with Espolon over this 10/10 times. Oh as a side note, bring back the frigging shot glass top this used to come with!!”

Teremana Tequila Reposado
“Very good value at price point. It is solid and sippable but not great. Cooked agave and alcohol dominate the nose for me. Taste is better then smell. Once again I get mainly agave and a hint of vanilla taste. Finish is on the harsh side. Would probably compare this to Tres Agaves as far as quality and value. At $30 it’s worth it but wouldn’t pay north of that. ”

Don Julio Blanco
“So kind of a tough review. This one loses some points for its lack of value. It’s just way overpriced for what it is. Much more vegetal on the nose and palate then anything else I’ve had. Most prominent flavor for me is cooked agave. Maybe a hint of pineapple in the aroma. On the plus side it is smooth as hell. Great mouthfeel and above average finish. This is a good but not great tequila. I just think the price point for it is way out of whack. However, the unique taste does start to grow on you and it is definitely an easy drinker. ”

Fortaleza Blanco (Still Strength)
“Amazing tequila. Mainly cooked agave and olive with some citrus on the nose. Taste is more of those same notes with some floral characteristics and a little sweetness and vanilla as well. Crisp and clean finish with a little alcohol but incredibly smooth for the proof. Easily the best I have had and the template for what a blanco should be like in my humble opinion. A fantastic offering from the hands down best producer!!! ”

“Very nice nose with sweet notes of vanilla and caramel. Flavor a bit more muted but did show some additional wood/earth and leather flavors. Decent finish with a little sweetness”

Roca Patrón Silver
“Value and a less then interesting nose bring the overall rating down, but make no mistake this is a really nice silver. At a better price this would be a goto daily sipper for sure. ”

Casamigos Tequila Blanco
“This was a tough review. This is a drinkable spirit for sure, but it is NOT what I would ever call a good blanco. It has a pleasant nose of vanilla and caramel but little agave. The mouthfeel is thin and the flavor has a bitterness that is masked by an artificial sweet vanilla flavor that could only be from additives. The finish has a hot burn and little flavor. In short, this tastes like a flavored tequila which is not even close to its price point in value. I can think of plenty of blancos in the under 30$ range I would prefer. The fact that this is close to the price point of say Forteleza is absurd. ”

Espolon Añejo
“Aroma mainly wood and vanilla for me with a fruity undercurrent that pops in now and then. The flavor does bring some cooked Agave though it is not strong. Mainly wood, vanilla and spicy on the flavor. The finish is what I love. There is a jolt of sweetness that kicks in at the finish that is surprising and really makes this a keeper for me personally. As with most Espolon offerings the value is excellent. A good intro to Anejo tequila!”

Lunazul Blanco
“A nice value brand. Nothing special but solid for cocktails and OK on its own. Better then a lot of higher priced diffuser crap”

Corralejo Reposado
“Nose is mainly butter and cake batter with a hint of alcohol. Flavor is completely different. Vegetal with undertones of Agave but Agave quite muted. Spicy finish with some alcohol. Not bad but not the flavor profile I typically enjoy either. Almost more like a white dog bourbon then a tequila”

Patrón Silver
“Nothing wrong with this, it’s just kinda boring. It’s smooth and simple. Overpriced for what it is though. Value kills the score on this bottle. I wonder if the charcoal filtration removes some character in exchange for smoothness? Overall, I like the Patron process and it seems like they make tequila the right way. Not sure why this blanco is relatively bland. Still this brand deserves a ton of credit for making people rethink what tequila can be. ”

“Diffuser diffuser diffuser. Little Agave flavor to speak of. Medicinal and bitter. Just not the flavor profile I want at all!! Terrible value for price. ”
