“An absolute surprise!! For a blanco this is smooth and flavorful. Every sip is a pleasant surprise! There isn’t too much heat but the flavor makes up for it. This seems to be a great entry tequila. The flavor profile is mild with no pepper. The agave sweetness is forward and inviting. Definite a good way to elevate your well selections as a replacement in your cocktail of choice although I can imagine this would be gold in a Paloma!”

“I have waited what feels like decades to taste the Winter Blend and it did not disappoint. While the aroma isn’t enough to make you fall in love it constantly invites you back for another greater appreciated sniff. However, it is the flavor experience that completely cements why these bottles are so coveted. The first assault of your taste buds is the sweet mouth feel of the caramel taste and texture as the heat slowly begins to develop. It is not immediate; it’s delayed as the citrus flavor creates a mask that forces your brain to race to comprehend what is happening on your palate. By the time your brain recognizes the growing heat and slight spice the warmth begins to roll over your skin. And that’s when the understanding of “Winter” comes in to effect. The flavor lingers and the taste permeates. Once you’ve had a taste you won’t forget it! ”

“Tres Agaves Blanco is a great entry level tequila. It is the most suitable alternative to the many over-hyped terrible additive heavy tequilas. I chose this as an alternative to a very limited selection. The subtle taste that would make this conducive to being mixed in a Paloma or margarita is immediately noticeable. It is not overpowering by any means and has a slightly sweeter finish than would be expected in a blanco. Agave forward. No spice but just enough of a kick to let you know it is an alcoholic beverage. Faint tastes of citrus round out the taste. This would probably be a great introductory tequila for someone new to tequila. ”

“Thee Añejo is really smooth. The spice doesn’t kick in until the 3rd or 4th sip and is very light. The pepper isn’t enough to tingle your tastebuds but is a subtle reminder of having a nibble. However, what hits you first is the cinnamon. The flavor is a mix of faint anise and cinnamon with gelatin tongue feel. Bottomline: if you are new to tequila, Herradura is a great place to start!”

“Suffice it to say this was not my fave, but don’t let that stop you. I wanted to like it! It has everything you can ask for; a rich sweet aroma that doesn’t singe your nostrils with ethanol vapors. It even has a pleasant mouth feel that doesn’t feel thick and waxy! I love licorice but despise black licorice! Black licorice is strong and my aversion to it is similar to those who say “cilantro tastes like soap”. Although, I’ll take a bite of dove over black licorice any day! Unfortunately, for me, the last scent of flavor that lingers is that of anise and I cannot get past it! The anise ruined all of the goodness I experienced right up until I exhaled. The agave, the vanilla, the oak… all completely evaporated as I was crippled by the anise. I guess you can say it is my kryptonite!? …but that didn’t stop me from finishing the glass!! It only prevented me from revisiting the pour!”

“If you should be so lucky to come across a bottle of t1 do yourself a favor by enjoying a moment of zen in a glass! So smooth. So tasty. There is nothing bad about this pour. Ironically the hint of peach takes hooks of your tastebuds while the subtle heat dances on the inside of your mouth. Everything about this tequila is sophisticated; from the elegant teardrop bottle shape right down to the smooth agave forward subtle cayenne heat left behind as your eyes water with joy. Heaven in a glass. Eureka! We’ve found it!”

“While 1519 Añejo dismally fails the sniff test it makes up for it in flavor! The aroma from the glass had me contemplating my choice of this pour. I waffled a while before begrudgingly taking my first sip. As soon as the juice hit my tongue all thoughts of the aroma had all but disappeared. I became a fan in that instant. Very faint hints of cinnamon rose to the forefront wrapped in sweetness of agave blended with a fruity essence of some sort. The overall flavor reminded me of all my favorite things and pistachio kept coming up in my subconscious. This is definitely a bottle I would put in the cabinet to share with only my most appreciative friends. ”

“This wasn’t as much of a surprise because I began with the añejo. The first sip is smooth and velvet-like. Hints of fruit jump onto your palette as the subtle sweetness of agave balances your tastebuds. There is a light pepper that dances on your tongue to awaken your senses. That pepper lingers on your tongue, lips and cheeks before slowly dissipating as you prepare for another sip. Each sip welcomes the next! I’m glad I came across this bottle but fear it may no longer be available. ”

“Agave forward like no other with a heat that dances on your tongue. Corralillos is special. This is so enjoyable it transports you to a place you’ve never been. The flavor is unmatched. Stone fruits come to mind as I sat with it trying to understand how this can be so agave rich without tasting like syrup. I need at least two more pours in a quiet room by myself to unpack the pleasantries this bottle has to offer. ”

“Blancos are notoriously dry and Puntas is no different but the agave hits you from afar as soon as it is poured. That scent draws you in. Naturally Puntas has a bite to it as an ovenproof tequila and it doesn’t hide. Your tongue tingles and heat dances as it passes your tonsils. There is a hint of citrus that overshadows any other flavor but if you focus you can sense faint tastes of anise and other spices. Definitely not for the timid. ”
