“Cooked Agave is front and center and complex, the barrel influence harmonizes well with the agave and is present without overpowering the agave.”

“Such a disappointment, the aroma and palette were dominated by a strange artificial watermelon note that really ruined my experience. I couldn’t place agave or anything else I hope for in a tequila”

“aroma: savory campfire smoke, black pepper, salt, agave nectar and aloe sweetness palette: hot. salt, savory smoke, raw agave sweetness. olmeca altos plata has an aroma that takes me awhile to parse out. For the first few minutes I don’t find much of anything, but then I find something new everytime I smell it. Rewarding experience but not ideal. My favorite aspect of the aroma is the smell left in my nose after I pull away the glass. It is salty and smoky in a gentle way. On the tongue, salt and smoke dominate, and the sweetness is wild and sort of submitted to the savory side of the tequila. I wonder if others find it balanced? I enjoy it, but honestly, it feels unbalanced for a tequila. The agave is not celebrated enough. The finish is vegetal”

“aroma: honey, banana, spring wildflowers taste: brown sugar, saline, spinach stem on the end finish: short, gentle lingering finish of agave, some bitterness before the finish i love love love mi campo one of the best smelling tequilas, it does not totally translate to the tongue, the taste is driven by a brown sugar sweetness balanced by a saline-ish minerality. I wished the agave was a little more present on the palette. The finish is not as strong as I hope my tequilas will have, but the aroma always pulls me in for another sip. Great value.”
