Nose: Lots of chocolate, coffee, general sweetness, and something chemical. Flavor: Big unexpected punch of jalapeno pepper. Vanilla, artificial sweetener, and finishes with coffee chocolate. I recommend looking for other options

The aroma is sweet with the agave present but the overwhelming smell that diffused agaves project is loud and proud. The taste that diffused agaves have is unmistakably present amongst the other flavors and nuances that barrel resting imparts. I would not wantonly imbibe this tequila again.

Very light straw color. Aroma of alcohol, agave and a hint of solvent. Flavor of oak and agave. Weak finish.

I always wondered if I would drink a tequila and think that there might be a additive in it. After reading Grovers article about additives I think I found one. The aroma is strong floral. The Taste is not good with artificial flavors.

Oak improves this juice remarkably well, covers up the chemical qualities I get from the Blanco. Shoot away.

Offered by a friend, who is not a tequila drinker. Medicinal nose with pine. On entry this is smooth enough but instantly devolves into chemical bitterness. Sets a baseline for bad. One shot was enough. If you rate this 80 or 90, you literally need to get out more.

Too much aftertaste

This tequila is the most similar to the taste of the agave plant from which it is made. Always found at an exceptional price point, this honey golden nectar goes well by itself, or in a mixed concoction.

I like tequila with strange flavors. A little Nose: concrete, solvent Body: silky with a tiny bit of structure way at the back of the throat Palate: too much solvent. Too little agave The restaurant uses this in their top shelf Margarita. I always felt like it was something off about that margarita, but it was the only one they had with fresh lime juice.

To me this is the bare minimum bar for tequila and is best suited for margaritas, or to take camping.

I didn’t have high hopes for Hornitos Reposado since it was the go-to tequila I drank as a teenager just to get the job done. A friend brought it to a party, so I decided to give it another shot. Unfortunately, it was just as bad as I remembered—harsh, unbalanced, and lacking any real flavor. Definitely not something I’d drink again.

Actually surprised me- aroma is nice- agave- pepper- and some minerality. In the palate it was actually good. Agave- earth- light pepper and some nice minerality. Has some slight oakiness that makes things a little silky on the finish. I am glad I gave this a try.
